Homebox XS & Cool Tube??

I am thinking of purchasing a Homebox XS. The dimensions of the box are 23.5" x 23.5" x 47.5". Do you guys think I could fit a 19" cool tube in there possibly diagonally and still fit 6" ducting on each side? Any other ideas on putting a 250 watt hps in a homebox XS would be appreciated. I really don't want to go any bigger than this box. I live in an apartment and have limited space and need to be able to hide it in my closet. Thanks in advance! :blsmoke:

wow... i just got exactly what youve described. i have the homebox setup and it looks nice. i hung the cooltube in there and its real close to the edges. it still has a few inches on each side but it will be close. i plan on getting some ducting/fan rigged up in the next few days so ill try to let you know... other then that. the hps will get real hot. left unventilated. i turned it on for alittle with no ducting/fans and it may have melted something if i left in on all day. with ducting it shouldent be a problem though

Is your homebox the XS? What wattage light are you using? Does it look like you will have room to put ducting on each side? Thanks for the reply! :blsmoke:

its exactly what you described ... the same size homebox xs with a 250 watt mh/hps with a cooltube. and the ducting looks like its gonna be close... but from what ive seen most of the heat is dirrected twards one end of the cooltube. so i was thinking about leaving 1 end open/no ducting. then attach the other with ducting/fan to pull the heat out ...i'd say there are a few inches on each side. not alot. i can get you a picture if you like

A picture would help a lot. Thanks man! My plan is to have a fan pulling through a carbon filter the connected to a piece of duct that goes to one end of the cool tube the a piece of duct on the opposite end of the cool tube going out of the box. I just don't wanna order the cool tube and it not fit in the box. Where did you get your cool tube?

Hey thanks a lot man! That really helped me out. I might try to get a bigger box if I can. Looks like that might work though. Would turning the tube diagonally give you more room?

put diagonally would give it some more room for the venting for sure, if you have space for a bigger box go for it. i only need a small box to grow enough for me to smoke
