Home made total blackout / Loft grow/ new bloom room.......

Ok guys i have extended 1 of my bloom tents into a monster , i can now stand up , walk around , so much better , was alot of hard work but will stand me right for 2012 , conquered a few heat and condensation issues along the way ,improvements made,
Extended floor area,
Extended height 7.5ft
Air con direct feed into tent
4x4m2 width area gained
Larger full size door
1200w hps up to 1800w hps
New extraction fan and ducting
all constructed using total blackout, flooring, staples (300 staples),foil tape, cable ties, well chuffed , i have 3 x vegg rooms working hard to fill this baby up....
Any comments or Questions are welcome......

Hey man thats my new years day smoke , its in its last week of flush and was a nute experiment lol , will still smoke good its cheese , they can take enough abuse , none of these plants were grown in this area , all the others have just come out of vegg and have just been introduced , sorry i shudda mentioned that , i was going to continue with a cheese , G- bomb journal , but im waiting on vegging plants.....

No worries pal was just wondering that's all as none of my plants ever get that yellow towards the end.


I have some white label white ice on 3 days dark currently before I chop them.


As temps have dropped I'm using a tubular heater to just keep temps above 14.5c and the fucking plants have started to change colour to purple. Lol. Wasn't expecting it at all. Didn't know it was a strain that would change lol.

Your not kidding , i use a thermo fan heater and until i wire up the other 2 600w (no rush , still vegging plants) i have to have the little heater on just to stay above 21*c , so i can put fresh air in , without it it sits on 19*c with light on lol!

The silly cfl in there and the 150w hps hanging up by my bigger hood will be removed when other 2 lights added , again there just adding warmth at night....

The yellowing plant was grown with no real fresh air intake , but i do struggle with yellowing leaves on late bloomers , i have just kinda accepted this , i should research it really i know, my mates still say my stuff is the best so im doing summit right

Ca Mg if you happen to be using coco ?

I found a shot every 3 weeks during bloom helped when I used coco.

Usually that yellow is an N problem. A lot of people misunderstand just how much N they use during flowering I'm contemplating sacking my canna aqua flowering nutes 4-4-11 in favour of the veg nutes 6-4-9.

Gonna be trailing this on my next cycle with some CH9 beans.

Ahhhh , this brings me to my next plan that's underway , i was using coco and various other soils , i am now weaning away from soils totally , i wanted a medium that was light weight , and re useable , obvious benefits , so i have decided on Cellmax rockwool growing cubes and Hydroleca clay pebbles , costly at first but im hoping it will reap me rewards , here is a thread i have started using this medium and a passive hydro method .......https://www.rollitup.org/general-marijuana-growing/496562-new-technique-experiment-advice-please.html

I made a mix as an experiment a few years ago and used the grodan 1/2x1 seedling cubes with hydroton clay pebbles and I hand fed it lol.

Make sure you balance the pH and you should be golden. The most mine wanted watering was 3 times a day in full bloom but I was also top feeding and draining to waste.

P.s. incase you're wondering it was a DNA rocklock that I tried it with. Lol it also was a 12/12 from seed. Lol I don't do things by halves lol.

I may revert to top feeding also , that's what i like about this method , it's pretty adjustable so i can play it by the day , i have also out of interest (i get bored) rooted clones in a car wash sponge , and lol , filled up a plant with the normal rockwool in the loft , and grew a cutting init and it looks like shit lol , i guess Cellmax do something to it, gotta prove these manufacturers wrong 1 day ahaha

According to my first post in the thread above I vegged for 3-4weeks and was 2 weeks into 12/12 on the 7th of Feb 2010. So that makes it around 2 years lol.

Hey Jon , non to shabby for first attempt , i had bean sprouts i put them in a chow mein lol , least you have learned to rotate the pics these days ........ ( i will just pretend to know you both seen as your remminassin on my thread!! ahahaha jokes)

Please DO check out my current grow in my sig, I'm in unchartered waters in my first vertical run, and if you can add to it - I'd take your advice into account... different animal than I'm used to at the moment.

Been reading your posts too mister.. good advice, is good advice. You don't see me posting alot of " I agree with "insert username here"".... if a good answer is given, I leave it alone and move on... so while you may not know me.. I am aware of you

Added 1200w plus direct air con to new extended bloom room , working hard to fill new space , 10 x bigg buddha cheese femmed beans just popped , 15 g-bomb clones , 2 x topped blue mystics , 1 lst topped G- Bomb , bagseed plant im playing with(short bush),
Currently swapping all my plants from vegg room to bloom room during light period to maximise bloom room space and light , its hard work lol ,

How does it work for you come watering time? Did you make a drainage system up there or do you have to carry it to drain away?
