Ok,

Day 15 under lights. The girls seem to be widening but seem to be quite short and stubby, if this persists for another week I will switch off the 660nm Red LEDs.

Here is an update:

The bigger girl looks sativa dominant with longer pointier leaves. the other 2 look quite indica with wider fanning leaves... is this correct to assume?

Also I trimmed the droopiest looking girl, I removed 2 large fan leaves which were blocking light getting to the side shoots (3rd photo)

Still no signs of flowering :\ I am thinking of switching off the 465nm Blue LEDs. I am aware 660nm Reds are good for flowering and when looking at the graph below I plan on targeting Chlorophyll A more and Clhorophyll B less.

What do you guys think? Would switching off 1 spectrum of my blues induce flowering, do you think it's worth trying???

These are the questions the LED masters must answer 8)

Ok,

The indica dominant is definately female with bud sites at a few internodes. The sativa dominant is possibly male with balls forming. The bud/ball sites seem a tad smaller than usual plants I assume this is due to the LEDs.

Heres somes pics.

So far so good. I will cull the male in the next couple of days, give it a chance to potentially turn female :P I'm guessing if I see 1 ball growing underneath the other it is definately male?

Update:

Ok guys, the girls are in after 1 month of outdoor love. I have each frequency switched but I am running all of the lights at the moment. with the 2 fans and the lights I am running 148watts, or exactly 150.1 watts @ when running the fans at 12V. They are currently at 7V.

I am using an LM317 adjustable voltage regulator to control my fan speed. I can provide a simple circuit for those interested in making a simple fan speed controller that can handle up to 1.5Amps @ 12V.

pics coming soon :)
Please provide me with the circiut of the 12v controller and any led info you widsh to provide. Thanks

And then there was one...

Ok, the other Indica girl seems to be a male. so i've put the leaf litter aside for making some oil out of later.

Here she is, the healthiest of the bunch and she turned female, i'm quite happy. The buds seem to be developing slowly but there are 3 bud sites per tier on the top 4 tiers. just a single bud with 2 hairs. 9 days into flowering. I'm not fully sure i this is a good development or bad.

Could the experts perhaps throw some light on the situation?

Of course.. some pics :D

Ok, 13 days into flowering total power consuption is 91.3kWH

heres the pics.

*Please note the cfl is only being used for illumination 2 minutes prior to the beginning of the photo period for photos. I do want to make this an experiment still :P

Looking great! The plant looks very healthy and I can see the flowers starting to form. Can't wait to see the results.

Thanks guys,

I am picking up my chassis today for my 300w version.

I am introducing 6 x 420nm UV and a mix of 6 x warm white (3200K) and 6 x neutral white (5000K)

Hopefully my next gen light will induce flowering a tad faster. The female preflowers seemed alot smaller than images i've seen of other plants under HPS. but the pistils now seem to be of a normal size despite the size of the actual preflower.

more pics once buds fully start to develop.

hey Slixxor i know a little about LEDs, i am using some myself right now. U should for sure get some white LEDs because they have the best spectrum for veg...

I have seen LEDS even the higher watted ones do not comapre to a 400 watt MH or a 400 watt HPS. ! until the LEDS reach a 175 to 250 watts then i will swtich over to leds.
