Hole in middle of stalk. Problem?

The plant is definitely a indica and is looking really good. But I noticed a hole about the size of a pen, maybe a lil smaller. It seems the plant is growing fine around the hole. I just dont want to lose the plant. Any suggestions?

you better watch out. I had a plant like this it was doing healthy went back like 4 days later and all the leaves were yellow. I touched the plant and it bout fell over i went to pull it out of the ground and the stem broke off at the ground got to looking and there was 3 or 4 bugs inside of the stalk idk if it was termites or not.

^^ that can happen, or, it can just get too much water or moisture in there and rot the stem, I had that happen this year. The plant just fell droopy all of a sudden and when I pulled it, it had a hole in the stalk that was letting water get in behind that skin layer, and rotted the trunk out completely. The plant was fine one day and dead the next. Be careful watering it, and I would getr some pruning sealer and seal it up.

it sounds like you have a stem borer.

the solution: get a guitar string, bend a hook at the end of it, push it in the hole both up and down and it will kill and grab whatever is in there. tape the hole shut and call it good.

You might consider this hole to be a cool, new spot to store things of value such as spare change, nude pictures of you wife, an extra set of car keys. Have you explored this hole for evidence of fairies living in your garden? Just something to think about.

You bet it was. The bugs were white ants(termites).

i think i am having that problem. plant is looking a lil rough in places but is holding on. i used the guitar string method and pulled nothing out. so i covered the hole with duck tape. seems sealed up. hope it helps. trichomes r about ready tho in places of the plant and other places r dieing so if this doesnt fix it i will prob pull it soon. :/

again im a newbie-ish lol

Ok This brings up another question. I've been dying to water with some mollases but havent with the the fear that it would attract bugs and/or those whitetailed bastards. Opinions?

millions of rural farmers cant be wrong. it feeds the bacteria in the soil .. it's diluted enuf that it's not a bug issue..

you failed to answer the question.. what was your issue or problem you had?? you are saying using it will give you holes in your stems.. why?
He's saying using it will protect against holes in the stem ..
Not that it will give you holes in your stem

At least that's what I'm getting from what he posted.
Not too sure on his theory with that tho

the whole is covered and taken care of but the plant isn't looking too healthy. I'm trying to rejuvenate it so the plant can finish filling out bc the trichomes r close

Ok it was late when I read it.. lol... I was wondering wth he had against using it and why it caused holes..lol

the plant doesn't look like it's doing so well. there is a good trichome development all over the plant except where the plant is starting to die. they are starting to turn cloudy and some r amber. I've given it a couple days now and I'm curious if I should chop it down before it gets worse. ideally I'd love for the plant to keep growing and fill out but I'm nervous i'll lose the whole plant.

what do you think I should do?
