Listen to this while reading this:
When you look at the world you realize that life can be a beautiful place. A great mentor told me once that perception is reality. it didn't hit me with what that means till i seen this lady at the supermarket. She had near to no money, bought what she needed with a smile on her face. She wasn't upset about not having money or the fact she was walking in below freezing temps. he was happy to be alive and enjoyed the nuances. She was perceiving the world, as ugly as it is, in a beautiful way.
Ever since then I have started to change the views on which i place over my eyes. Try to make things better for me. To say you are going to change the world with your attitude, you are not incorrect but not correct. You need to change yourself first, then help others, don't change.
Sorry my own views on this. BTW true story. I actually now help this lady out with snow shoveling and general errands, one of the best people i have ever met.
