HLG550 vs Gavita? Anyone with experience with either/both?

It was you stating a day or so ago that my temps would lead to sick plants so you must have amnesia lol.....
I never said anything of the sort. I said that keeping temps above 80 (never said anything about high 80s) has shown to help for many growers. I never said one word about YOUR plants getting sick. I spoke of my personal experience, and it's something plenty of other growers have observed and commented on. I also stated that I've seen people have great success at temps lower than 80, and acknowledged that you're one of them. Reading comprehension is important for effective communication.

Yeah you should go back and read what I quoted that you typed. Let me know how that reading comprehension works out for you. Take your passive aggressive insults and shove them.

My comprehension is working just fine, thanks. And your passive aggression has been on display in this thread for some time, so consider practicing what you preach.

So now sharing what is going on with my grow is an aggressive action? Lol......

Another fanboy on a bandwagon with no substance to back his claims .let me just always put "and many others as well" behind everything I say to make it sound like I have a clue ........

This forum is hilarious.
Must be some real fucking Master Growers up in here.
I've never seen such discouraging input for someone who would be a new grower and just wanting to grow themselves a few plants for personal use, especially in the legal states with a spare closet.
Oh cool - Hang this HLG550 and I'm guaranteed 1000g of top shelf dank... Oh wait you mean I need to spend $1000+ on that light but it won't work on it's own? I also need a $1000+ Dehumidifier cause only the most efficient will do - don't wanna be caught using one of them janky wally world 70 pint fuckit's.
Plus I better get me some Mammoth P too while I'm at it cause we all know - Plants Won't Grow without that shit!!

The yield claims in this section of RIU invoke one response - BULLSHIT! Pics or it didn't happen Bro! :peace:
Second all that....

Still waiting on some clarity of the cost to dehumidify the LED room vs running the AC longer periods of time in the HPS room once the Quest Dehumidifiers are set up.
It's no secret that those pesky dehumidifiers suck damn near the wattage of an efficient AC system and need to be disclosed as part of an honest comparison. :peace:
Quest 105 is like 4.9a max if I remember correctly I've never run ac so not sure about that. It doesn't save much money but another bonus is you can use the water from the dehumidifier. And it's not really needed during veg I just used mine at night mid to late flower and all day late flower. I agree that is should be disclosed in a comparison but only if the AC is disclosed when talking about hps I've never heard anyone say how many amps/watts their AC uses with hps or how long it runs. It also needs to be factored into system cost when talking about light prices. I think led will really shine (pun intended) if all factors are considered.

>>>well yeh ANYONE who can not get even the paltry 1g per w
are basically failures..i know i am

ok i can getv 1g w led..BIGDEAL..i am still a failure

i had my first HID and hydroponic setup i 1979
have grown big beautifull trees..still did not hit 1 g per w..

but i think 2 g per watt will be easier..

hey maaan the cool people are getting 3 + now

i am having to deal with confidence issues because of it..

laughter helps
The op was talking about 3lb per 4x4 with gavita I personally wanted to say he was a liar an let that be the end of it but instead was nice an had a discussion about it...guess that was a bad idea back to being an asshole you just cant win here.

Most small growers are exchanging air..... You don't need a dehumidifier or AC in those cases. That is where led really helps the small scale. Hard to cram a 1000 in a 4x4 vs a 500-600 watt led. Very different behavior. Some newer mini splits have a dehumidification function as well.
