Hi all need some help with led
Running 2 tents with 4 plants per tent. All have ak47 strain and planted at the same time. Iv always run x2 600w hps over 4 plants.
recently purchased x2 HLG550v2 reds and put them over 4 plants while while the x2 600w hps are over the other 4 plants
The led took 7 weeks veg while hps is max 4 weeks to hit my normal height mark

and now the hps plants flowers are twice the sauce as the led flower. Every one says these hogs are the best but I’m struggling to see how and why.

LEDs tend to be a bit of a learning curve for some it is steeper than others.

What size area is the LED side?
What are daytime/nighttime temps on the LED side?
What is the humidity of room daytime-nighttime?
Have you noticed any Cal/Mag/Potassium deficiencies?
Are you running CO2?

Also, can you throw up some pics so we can see what you are working with:peace:

Did notice a bit of rusting but nipped that in the buy with som cal/mag and lifted the light 2 inches. I have turned the fan down with the controller but now my humidity has come up to 70

Run a dehumidifier in there, that will take care of things

Do you run CO2?

Have thought about that but then I’ll be using more power then the 2 600w hps.
Not True:

600W Hps lamps draw more than 600W depending on fixture it could be as high as 680W; check the calculation below based on a 600W lumatek ballast:

HPS Side – 638watts x 2 = 1276W x 1.3umol = 1659 PPF

LED Side – 480watts x 2 = 960W+ 250W Dehuey = 1210W = 2496 PPF

By running LEDs with a Dehumidifier, not only do you save 66Watts/ph, but you also gain an extra 40.29% increase in light, and a better quality spectrum, which equals higher quality final harvest and larger yield.

It really is a no-brainer you just need to dial your grow in, and you’ll be good to go :)
