My goal..huge yeilds, resin, dense buds

Strain check. Tent check. Environment check..organic hotsoil check. Ro water check
Just need a light

-My requirements 4x4
-Obviously high cri 80 would be fine 90 would be better
-Uv or ir if possible but may not be which is fine
- 3-4000k in colour with good par
First led light so need help..my knowledge is basic

Made this thread because with the help of some other members this is what I've nailed it down to

Screenshot_20190518-182850_Chrome.jpg 1 of these? (810 cad)
Got osram or Samsung chips (I know pic says 1000 but hortibloom rep says their 599.00 if on Alibaba.)

Screenshot_20190518-191556_Chrome.jpg 3 of these (726 cad)
Citizen 12 12(has other options but raises price)
I've read the heated debates from you guys on this company. I mean 720 watts at the wall with 12xcitizen 1212 cob leds for 752cant be a bad price no?

Screenshot_20190518-192013_Chrome.jpg 2 of these (900 cad)

My budget should be 500.......But I can be a little flexible to get a good light and coverage.
My Wife wont talk to me for a few days but fuck her. I bought the damn house and her car so she can just pipe down.

Did you check out the ssk 550 by cutter?

I think it's prob priced to be the best bang for your buck to cover a 4x4 with quality led

That hortibloom light looks good and price seems great. If it's as they say it is, it seems like a strong contender as well. Only if tho

Unless you wanna diy. Then you can build a great light well within your budget

I'll check those out now Diggs thanks.

As for DIY. I have to be careful....I go way overboard on everything and sort of defeat the purpose. Of cheap diy
That said in always open to options

Well you could follow @ANC lead and use Samsung f series strips run hard on heatsinks. He's getting great results and using minimum strips.

Between bridgelux, Samsung, cutters , there's strips for all price points.

Ledgardener suggests using 4 f series double rows on a 480w driver.
4 double rows cost approx 250.00
Driver 170
80 left over for frame, wire and wagos.

Or you could buy 12 bridgelux strips for similar price and also run on 480w

I have one fixture with 4 strips on a 320W driver, it is not a bad light, but not really worth the 33% jump in strip costs....I had the extra strip as I ordered 10 (I needed 9, but the tenth one is basically free with the bulk price break.)
100W to just a bit more is great for tapping the sweet spot on these... Samsung didn't choose the test points randomly. What makes a double row build cheaper too, is only needing half the framing. A 600W DIY build should cost in the area of $600 give or take a few bucks.

IS THIS LIGHT FOR REAL?
Ok I cant post links yet. Super lame. So the best i can do is screenshots. 8 of them.

But is this for real........Because if it is, it looks like the top contending DIY quantum board I've seen.
I know this is Chinese. But look at the stats. 130,000 lumens Every graph and chart you could want on par readings, drop offs, highs, coverage, describes each chip etcc.
please can someone tell me if this is legit. If it is I might buy this......today

Yeah its a copy of a quantum board, soon as QBs became popular the Chinese started knocking them out, there are lots of companies on Alibaba selling similar.
Which company is that one?
There is a thread or two on the chinese copy boards on here , maybe check that out. (use the search bar)

You should also check out bcblondes game changer if your Canadian too.

The ssk550 from cutter has a full 550w option for the same price as the 480w option.

The hortibloom citizen 1212 bars are one of the lesser efficient set ups. But I recommended them on your other thread due to your budget and the value for money.

Awsome I will check them out thanks again dude.
Man I been looking at lights for 16 hours today. I need sleep.
If that light above is legit tho the coverage is insane. I have no idea whether the wattage and bins and chips and drivers all line up tho like their pecsheet says . Would be nice if someone could touch on that. If it's a legit board with legit parts. I dont see why it wouldnt be a very viable option.
Here's the company looks belowScreenshot_20190519-021427_Alibabacom.jpg

Well that's the thing, nobody knows they are genuine chips or if they are top bin, previously people have found top bin to be false.

Ask the folks on the Chinese quantum board thread. I don't recognise that company but some of the guys might know more.

Get some sleep, don't rush into anything and remember to factor in shipping and tax and duty.

If your interested in the chinese knockoffs, theres a huge thread dedicated to those in the LED section.

They are also putting out some nice qbs and even strips now but as Corey said above, theres always that little bit of uncertainty when buying from the baba lol

@Moflow or @Rocket Soul are both extremely knowledgeable and helpful regarding buying the chinese boards.

Putting together a strip light isn't hard with the available info online (ledgardne r)... I would look at the blux eb gen3 2700k/90 cri hard, the possibility of +/- 3ppf/w with a "pleasing" spd for flowering annuals ; @ an affordable entry....

if I was building or designing today, these strips would be on my short list for availability?(not released yet lol), authenticity (through legit distributors), simplicity and even spd output (just phosphor coating, no r/dr monos laid about)== it checks a lot of boxes imo

Any alibaba china factory is a gamble grower

Good luck

Went with
3x hortibloom lumab4
With citizen 1212 cobs laid out like this

3k 4k 3k 4k

Should give me.my full spectrum and high cri and and some good coverage.
Cool, will be nice to see them in action. Best of luck

Start a grow journal so we can follow along, many here have been wanting to see those lights growing.
