HLG 650R (First LED)

So I was looking into DIY LED but it was too much with everything else going on. So I’m thinking about just buying a light. I want to flower a 5x5 space, the HLG 650R is 1k..... I’m willing to spend that on a light but is there better options?

I was looking at kingbrite on Alibaba but never used that site before and makes me nervous.

I use em. No complaints. Although I still prefer the strip bar style lights to the hlg boards.
Both these tables are each under the hlg 650r

I’m actually looking at buying this RIGHT NOW. Looks like a badass light, from what people said as well.

You might want to look at a Timber Fatty VS also, a few more bucks but also packs 300 more watts. The HLG 650 is a fine fixture from what I understand, personally never used one.

The HLG Diablo is a fantastic light and you cannot go wrong with it. That said there are cheaper alternatives that will do just as well. Alibaba can be a bit painful to use at times I have noticed but once you get used to it you can find what you want. Perhaps @bk78 can help you navigate the site. I believe he uses Mejiu lights ordered from there with great success.

I wanted to try out the kingbrite from alibaba, I’ve heard it can take forever to arrive and blah blah. Would love for BKs suggestion. I have to buy something today, procrastinating on it. I read too much.

I am sure he will be along, he is a busy guy but should respond to the tag. He should be able to guide you through the site and a choice of lights if that's the way you want to go. As far as I know it is not that long for delivery but I am just going by what I have heard.

I was actually looking at getting this. My buddy said I should get a chilled 1000 instead but that’s another 300-500$... honestly probably saying fuck it and buying the refurb Diablo. It’s a badass light still

if heights an issue , Scorpion Diablo, the 650r needs to be at least 32" above the canopy or dialed down. the Diablo has no problems covering a 5x5 too.
