The red in the spectrum is no problem, there is enough blue in there to Veg just fine.

As for the setting, less than half strength to start. Maybe like 150 watts? Up to like 70% (250 watts?) when they're bigger?

Has anyone used a HLG 350r in veg?
What setting ?
The clones are 10” I usually use 315cmh at this stage with a 4k Phillips bulb.
I was thinking instead of 630 watts of cmh I could have two 350r dimmedwith half the watts but is it too much red for veg?
this is where you gotta figure out which setting it needs to be at , the watts are 60-330 .. 15-24” from canopy .. don’t need to be at 330 watts full power with 18/6 light , would see how they do with the “2nd notch at 120 watts and take it from there , if the light is all the way up like 2-3 ft away then I would move it up another notch … there no set rule on what setting works best , this is a trail and era . I have the 300L Bspec and have it 2 feet about the clones , there a month old and have the light 1/2 way … also have the 650r spec /UVA and use it at the height all the way up “ 4 feet above the canopy and only using 120 watt… but thats my dedicated flower light now….
