Hello smart minds,

I was thinking about this the other day and today..

if a lot of politico and military talks say "history repeats itself" why do we still have elections for office?

Every president after FDR has lied about shit, so if these people go by "history repeats itself" why did they continue on with such a crappy government?

pretty stupid about these people to say such things,

im pretty sure that is true.. it is a lack of education i think that keeps most from uprising and protesting like the people in libya
 
democracy was such a vast improvement on the previous system, that people are reluctant to give it up, specially in light of we have nothing better to replace it with.

hope dies slow (if it isnt eternal :))

we want to believe in and trust people.

but, in a world where greed is good and might is right.

thats not gonna happen.

Democracy sucks- The USA is not sopposed to be a democracy and people who think it is and people turning it into a democracy is what is wrong with the country and is a major part of the problems we have and what is making them worse

well, i think you are wrong..

its not the system thats the problem

its the people, we´ve got the wrong sort of people for utopia (for which democracy (though a more direct democracy where everyone could vote on every subject (through the internet) would be perfect))

but here is the thing, we fight over everything, the biggest kids gets what he wants (usually by beating the snot out of the smaller kids or threatening to)

its not a fair world, its not a good world.

its a bad man´s world (good guy´s finish last (ever hear the words, "you are too good" ?))

blaming the system is like a man swinging a hammer blindly in the hopes of hitting the nail

and when he fails, instead of opening his eyes

goes

they mean.......

Remember how Rome was so powerful they got their by using military force. once they had everything they got greedy and the government got corrupt. Finally it fell apart


Remember how the USA was so powerful by using its military............ & now we have moved to the second phase & it is just a matter of time

The problem is the people within the system who promoted democracy and allowed our system to become democratic, and taught people that we are a democracy and that democracy is the best system

exactly, politicians are too blame, but wait, who put those politicians there? We the people! the thing is people will follow some fool that sounds like a genius with their nice and sophisticated rhetoric to the point of voting for them into office.

i just wish Ron Paul would get nominated so there could be an end to this bullshit government...

Many of the most powerful people in the world and in politics and in controll of you and your country are not voted into office.

Yes.. all of his plans decrease gov spending.....which means less taxes which people like........ which means congress will like
