History Enthusiasts! - What are the most interesting parts of human history?

You'd HAVE to include the eradication of Vampires in the US by Abraham Lincoln. That was pretty damn important. I can't believe I'm only learning about this recently. they should have made this movie decades ago.

Lol yes.

Well the most interesting to me is the evolution/creation of life. However that is more a concept than a time so i would go with now. Travel the world see cities and all the amazing technology and things weve created. Pretty damn cool/interesting imho.

Is there any other evidence that supports the idea that global water levels were lower 10,000-15,000 years ago other than these structures being at that depth now?

(not a youtube video)
I think most geography and history buffs are aware that the ocean is in places it didnt used to be. There is a ton of cities and villages that are underwater now that were in places that didnt use to have ocean. And then there are all the places that dont have ocean now that used to, look at the American West.. Colorado, Utah, Nevada, etc.

The Western USA has been dry for millions of years. The Clovis culture didn't show up until maybe eleven millennia ago. cn

Why wouldn't we be able to excavate a site if it is underwater? Have you seen the footage from the Titanic dives? They have HD video of the ship, why couldn't they do the same thing with an ancient city beneath the water?

Do you have a link to tools or human artifacts being found in these sites?
Why are you such a skeptic dude? I could only imagine being your history professor. You cant teach anyone that turns all your information down.

I'm skeptical of claims like these because they lack the evidence to convince me.

I don't understand the point you're trying to make. There probably are civilizations we haven't discovered yet that got lost to the sands of time, that's pretty likely, and they might have built giant structures like pyramids, but the best evidence we have of any type of civilization in the Americas is, as cannabineer mentioned, the Clovis people.

What it seems is being suggested is that ancient cultures created empires 10,000-15,000 years ago in North America that we have no record of today, only sunken ruins. How they got there, when, we have no idea because there is nothing else to go on. You can't assume anything in science. If anything it requires further investigation before you can reach a conclusion.

But they are there... so cause we don't know everything about them they dont' exist??? or don't merit a part of a historical time line??? hmmm... stay high

with this logic you will have to exclude the big bang from your time line because it is just a theory and not a fact!!!... stay high

Well if you think like that your gonna miss out on alot. Science doesnt, cant, and never will prove everything. Like ive said before, science might reveal 1% of everything there is to know by the time humans die off..

We don't know enough about them to conclude anything further than they're submerged underwater and look to be man made. Anything after that is speculation.

The big bang theory has enough evidence to support it to warrant being the starting point of the project.

A lot of supernatural psuedo-science, OK. Like I told you before, there is no value in anything we can't prove, and I'm perfectly fine with that.
