Yo,

I'm growing some Himalayan Golds and some Sour Kush up in the New England area and I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with these strains. How they fared, and how the yield held up to it's big claims.

No one, If I get a good response I will be updating this with a journal.. but not if it's as dead as this. :wall:

If you're growing it, I am sure that others would be interested in how it turns out. I know I would!

Keep us posted man. I'm positive there will be a lot of interest too. I have just a single Himalayan Gold seed that I've been thinking about cracking if I have room.

Aight I'm glad people are interested, I also have two Big Bud seeds on the way that I'm giving my buddy to grow.. I'll update this once I have everything rolling and germinated.

Just picked up 60 pound bag of Pro-Mix BX, was hoping for Fox Farm but they were sold out so I took what I could get. Also got slug pellets, and some gallon pots to support life for a month before I put them outside.. now I'm just waiting on my delivery.

Update, 100% germination success.. everything went well except for one seedling don't think it will make it..

First picture is a healthy and normal Himalayan Gold

Second picture is a unhealthy deficient Himalayan Gold

Third picture is a healthy looking Reserva Privada Sour Kush

Fourth Picture is a Whorled phyllotaxy Himalayan Gold! :o weird looking huh, I might also add why are its leafs twisting and kind of wilted per say any answers?

I can't imagine a seedling being deficient already, but I wouldn't really consider myself and expert on plant problems (not my department ;-)). I do know that I've had many plants with the wavy leaves and it never seemed to be a problem. Whether i is caused by something or not I'm not sure, but they usually seem to grow out of it. I've actually have my first whorled phyllotaxy plant myself that just sprouted a few days ago. Pretty cool.

So what do you think about Sour Kush? I imagine since you mentioned the Big Bud seeds too that they were Herbie's freebies. I got them myself and thinking about running the Sour Kush. Seems from everything I've read that there are several phenos.

I'm really excited to see if it grows out of the third leaf set or if it stays with it threw flowering, but as for the sour kush it seems to not need as much water as you can see it might be a little water logged but It will come out of it. Everything I've heard of the strain it's one of the most potent and best smokes out right now so I'm excited.. keep you updated homie.
