Highest yield 4x4 tent...

No not the buds themselves the actual smoking wasn't top shelf, I could buy better on the street regarding taste, the taste is no1 important to me the stone is a distant 2nd.
I just chopped the last plant in my outdoor grow - all organic, sun only. I've grown a crapload of hydro and a few soil grows indoor but this is by far the best smelling and tasting I've ever grown, with my one full-season (photoperiod) probably being the best of any weed I've smoked in the last 10 years. I just put 3 World of Seeds Colombian Gold and one Dinafem White Widow in the paper towels yesterday; those are going in my new 4x4 tent with a 650w LED bar light setup; it's also going to be an all organic soil grow. I only got 46.6g from the big plant but I had to grow it in a place that didn't get a lot of direct sunlight since it was a guerilla grow.

I've grown the WOS Columbian Gold. It was some damn good weed.

Strain Dr Greenthumbs G-13

Lighting - 1K watt MH/HPS

4x4 tent

64 plants in 1 gallon Plant Warrior pots.

Flipped at 8 inch's. Each plant average yield - 32 grams

Yield = 2048 gram on average = 4.57 lbs
Still curious...

Where there other strains that you experimented with?

Do you have any growreports or pics of grows with such huge yields?

Im calling bullshit. Could be wrong though. Who knows
I am not sure.
Curious though.

2048 gram on average = 4.57 lbs in a 4 x 4 under a 1000 Watt is the most I have ever heard.
'Average' could mean also that some yields were even higher.

Im hoping for half that in double the size under two 6s

Why call bullshit? Some growers can no doubt achieve that with the right strain. I've pulled well over an ounce from plants grown in containers smaller than 1 gallon. I've always wanted to see what I could get if I crammed that many plants into the tent. Plant limitations keep me from doing it though.

In order to make it work you need to grow the right strain that doesn't have a lot of branching and will grow one large cola. Watering is another thing to look into as hand watering is impractical so you'd need some form of watering system. Drip, blumats, or a capillary mat.

This plant was grown in a 3 liter pot and yielded over an ounce. 64 of them could have yielded 4 lbs. A good grower with experience and proper feeding practices could no doubt do it.

SOG style growing will give you faster yields and more grows than training for 8+ weeks under a net. It's likely the most productive style of growing but requires an experienced grower to get everything dialed in to make it work.

That isn't bs, but it also isn't logistically easy to do.

If you search around for some huge pot count sogs you will see getting up to those numbers become less shocking. Firstly that many plants lets you fill in the entire canopy with a main cola, it's really a big deal. Hps also has better light penetration than leds (unless that isn't so any more?). This kinda means that at a point HPS can out perform in weight, however I'd argue led gives better top bud quality due to a lot more of the top canopy being in good par range. It's kind of a trade off.

What would be highly impressive is pulling 2gpw in a 4x4 tent with only 4 plants and led. It's very likely doable but I'm not so sure a flat canopy is the way to go about it. This is ofc assuming a strain that isn't a pure cash crop, those tend to yield very high but are shit smoke.

The only real issue is what people define as quality bud. For example I am around the 1.3 mark of top stuff. I ''could'' mix in some upper mid level stuff and nobody would ever know once dried, bar a lab test. That would easily push me into the 2gpw range. To me I don't know if it's as good as the top stuff so I just don't mess around like that.

I think many tall defoliated plants crammed together can yield more than a few plants with perfect canopies across the tent that will be my next experiment

I was more talking about a vertical growing type of format with led. Technically you could have most of two joined tent walls covered in foliage with 600W of leds pointed at them. It would increase canopy area some 50% from a 4x4, the added reflection from the walls might offset the lower over all intensity. But who can be bothered to do that, when you think about what it would take to do or what it could limit. I personally think it would yield more but potency or terp amount might suffer?.

Give it a go for science will you ;p.
