Higher yield tips(Royal Dwarf)

Diatomaceous earth worked good for my gnat problems from my last grow, but it's not working this time. I don't understand how I even have a gnat problem I didn't over water this time(least I think). Anybody has any organic ideas that work for getting rid of them I'm already drying out the soil, and I don't want to go that route tbh. I do have a theory tho I think since my last plant was large it had a larger root system, and this one being dwarf I should have just used even less water then last grow.

if your pots have large opening at the bottom, you might want to stretch a stocking over the bottom and rubber band it on so they can't get in those. you always water when the plant needs it. you can't make them need water on a schedule. you can run timers on drain to waste but thats a different animal than soil. you HAVE to let soil dry out good between waterings or your roots will never develop worth a shit.
if you can stick your whole index finger in the pot and feel any moisture, it doesn't need water yet.

You rock man thanks to that helpful watering tip, my root system in just these few weeks makes my last grow root system look like trash. Your advice is always great man, this site should reward you. How long you been doing this, you seem smart asf about it.

been growing inside for 3 years now, almost 4, been growing outside since 1980. and there are people on here that make me look like a newb. i still learn stuff all the time. put the effort into it, and it just gets better every time

It's people like you who inspire me to learn the most I can about this. This feels more like a way of life then a hobby, it's like once you start growing you look at marijuana a whole different way compared to buying it. Especially when you get to enjoy your own creation. Keep doing what you do, cause you're right, there's always more to learn.

i don't often get called an inspiration, thanks. i get called lots of other things.....
but you're right, growing weed, or just about anything else, feels better to me than any other job i've ever done. it pays my bills, and then some, but i don't consider it work...i find myself standing there staring into the tent, trying to find problems, looking at my plants for formation, growth rates, making notes of which strains seem better, and why.....
