High Times:WTF happened?

I remember back before "Tom Forcade""died" HT was a decent mag. Now it's just shite! Ads for fake weed, their crap merch.,and the Cannabis Cup,(420 travel!!) .What happened,and why? Didn't "Forcade" leave it so that in the case of his "death"the profits went to NORML? And why does Jorge's RX just reprint the same Q and A's over and over? I wouldn't even look at anymore if I didn't get free unsold back issues at the local head-shop. Am I the only one who feels let down and dissapointed by the Steve Hager editorship?

fuck high times. i got a 2 year subscription and it's just the same 6 issues redone over and over. i used to buy them at the liquor store as well so i can go back years and compare. blah, blah, blah. they will write about anything that brings them in a dollar. they screwed on my free stickers when i ordered 2 years. that's ALL i really wanted.

i just subscribed to "skunk".

Yeah Skunk'sthe only mag I buy anymore since Heads went to online. The cups a scam too,check Subcool's thread.

DUH... it does suck though....I was looking in there the other day or maybe it was skunk or cc but anyways the pics they were showing of a grow op that was supposedly knew was straight out jorges bible...

Once the pretty packages and fake names started winning the cup, it was trash.

I had a subscription with them for 2 years. I am in Scotland and every second month they fucked up my mag! I e-mailed them and they tried to fob me off saying it was sent, I finally got 6 back dated issues but I had already had those ones!! Was not impressed!

Yeah the people I talked to in A-dam basically said the real contest is the High Life Cup,a lot of breeders don't enter the HT cup because it's not legit. I'm not the one making this allegation,just reporting on what was told. After talking to cup participants during the week I heard nothing to convince me otherwise. Fortunately we didn't actually pay for judges passes as we were going to pick them up there. One nice thing,we arrived at Homegrown Fantasy just as a bus load of cup people were entering,and got treated nicely because we were not with them.

I think we really need a NorCal cup fuck yea!!!!

We have one in Toronto and in Montreal,they are a little more low key than A-dam but Toronto's cup is probably screwed,High Times covered it this year, now all the noobs and pigs know about it. It was kept within the circle for years,you had to know the right people to get tickets. It was held on a boat on Lake Ontario out cruising around.

That's the thing,they tend to be private because of LEO.That's why I think HT covering the Toronto cup is a bad thing.

Hightimes has sucked sence 1998 about the same time greehouse started sucking.....Shantibaba owns the weed world and says the truth years ago...Now people start realizing its all a fraud? Old news if you ask me only thing cool about the scandle cup is the cool people and they are locals you could have met without it.

Yeah we are going back in the spring.The cool people we met are there all year long,and the weather has to be better than in Nov. Damn Rain!!
