High temperature build up

hello everyone,

I am a newbie grower and first time posting.

I am currently growing in a closet with a 400W HID (MH for veg and HPS for flowering)

My problem is there is poor ventilation and the heat tends to build up quite dramatically while the light is on. of course my first step is to improve the ventilation, but how much will these high temps effect the plants. as of right now they seem to be booming, they do not appear to be lacking in growth. (currently about 5 weeks into veg.)

So is it possible that the heat is not hurting them?(i dont know the exact temp but im guessing around 100f)

Any input would be much appreciated
Thanks

Excessive heat will lead to slow growth rates. You need to get a thermometer dude... go get one of those handy digitals that do both temp and humidity. I got mine for like $14. You need to maintain a temp of between 70F and 80F (while the lights are on) for optimal growth.
