high & light problem

hello, I kind of new in all of this, its my 3rd grow.
the problem is maybe I let the veg phase go too much time.
im now in 5 week flower, after a 5-6 weeks of veg.
my plants goes so high, its the first time it happens, the reach the bulb, my top cola is like 2-3 inches from the bulb.
my grow in closet, with 250w hps, a few top colas reach the bulb and start to show a heat stress.
for now, I tied them to get them lower, but the problem is the make shade on all center - lower plant.
the burn leaves are burn till the half of the leave.
so cut this burn leave ?
maybe to cut the cola's a little to earn the center ?
im really don't know what to do, all the closet are full with branches and leaves.
please your help. thanks.

lol those pics ... it's so hard to tell what's going on exactly. Why don't you try to take a pic of the whole setup or take plant out of closet to take a pic.

my only opinion from what i can tell is tie those bitches back as far as you can that is all i can tell by the pics you sent

the branches are too strong I cant bend them too much, and the plant about 2-3 from the cooltube, im talk about 3-4 colas, I tied them, but the make a shade on the center.
what about cut the cola head (im suggest it because I think its the only option)
and try to open light to the center ?
the leaves are burning.

you can bend them till the break and they will still heal and be perfectly ok imo just as long as they dont snap off all the way

How many plants are actually in there and what is the size of your closet? Obviously hindsight is 20/20 but overcrowding made them stretch up to the light, IMO. I have had buddies let them grow above the light, just position and trim them so there is room around the light. I'd much rather have a few colas start to reach a little higher then the light then be cutting off growth during flower. Move your plants as close to the perimeter of your room and try to create enough distance so vegatiation isn't being burnt by the light.

I also second spankdizz, bend them. If you hear a snap, use duct tape to hold it in place, it will recover. I had a buddy who musta used a roll of duct tape during a grow, he use to get the spur of the moment brillant idea after a few lagers that he was going to the room to bend, "just one more branch". Needless to say in his drunken stupors he had to resort to duct tape frequently : )

Always turn off the HPS lights and use your cameras flash.
