I thought I was going crazy because I woke up in the morning and my inkbird sensor was beeping and I thought to myself what could it be? Then I looked on the app and it said 75% humidity and I was thinking that can't be right. But it's so deceiving because when your plants hit the flower stage they are stretching about 2inches per day and that 2 inch stretch has obviously been enough to put the sensor into the leaves which must of gave me a false reading I've got the humidity down now to about 60% and once I put the vent outside my room it should drop even lower now

Sounds good bud sometimes you gotta step back and breathe and say wait how the hell is this even happening then you can freak out

Man that's a common issue and will drive you insane if you think about where EXACTLY you should place the probe, the best solution imo is multiple probes, I have 4 and will go to 5 or 6 soon. It is quite amazing to see how air flows and make adjustments.

As far as A/C and being in UK...
I am in the USA, here, if you have an available window it is gold because one look in craigslist can find a dozen window units for under $100, and 500 under $200.

A window unit is almost infinitely better than portable...cheaper, more efficient and all heat is outside. I'm weird I love window unit ac, not sure why but sitting close to one on full is almost as good as being buzzed lol.

Might have been mentioned, but I also have high humidity, I have fans blowing on the plants 24/7 plus in late flower when the humidity is high, I too use a dehumidifier...

With electricity prices the way they are here in the U.K. a grow room setup correctly with good fans and intake and exhaust ducting correctly setup there is NO need to run AC unless you’re running more than 2000w of lighting otherwise your AC is using more power than you’re lighting

Anyone using a 4x4 tent or even an 8x4 tent does not need to use AC if you are in the U.K.

Correct ventilation setup and oscillating fans Will generally suffice and sometimes a dehuey will be wise to have just incase you struggle with RH but more often than not it’s not needed.

When you end up recirculating air from a tent within a lung room that has no other air source you’re going to struggle to control heat and RH.

Lung room for intaking air, exhaust your stale humid air out of the lung room to another room.

Then if you need to you can control RH and temp of the lung room with your dehuey.

I'm pulling the fresh air from the room next to mine, from the bathroom window dude. Well I'm not even pulling it. I'm just hoping it pulls it's self in? I'm struggling with my temps now as well it's like 30c lol I'm struggling to pull fresh air in with the door closed against the ducting

Not here to help, just to leave some anecdotal humor. I had this issue and voiced my concern to someone who lives with me. They're advice was to water them less

It's kind of hard for me to water less because in coco you have to water daily, I have managed to fix the humidity problem but now my temps are raising up to 30c and I'm struggling to lower it and it's getting really sunny outside now, Summer is coming up

So your exhaust air doesn't/can't come back in?

I'm using a 5x5 I've got mine set up to exhaust to outside and pull air in from the room.

I've a dehumidifier inside my tent but with a 20ltr outside it I'd get favorable humidity.

I forgot what light you are using Harry, but if it's an LED, is it the kind you can move the driver and mount it outside the tent? That helps a lot with heat.

Yeah I'm pretty sure the exhaust air doesn't come back in dude, it just goes into the bathroom

I'm using a lumatek zeus pro led dude and I already have it mounted outside of the tent. Cheers for the idea though man

A 5 inch Rhino Fan - Thermostatically Controlled Fan, connected to a 5 inch Mountain Air Carbon filter in a 4x4 tent dude. It's set at 80% fan speed and if it goes above 28c then it kicks in and runs at 100%. If it were me... I'd use a 1ft 8" piece of ducting at each inlet sock (or something to hold them open) and pull air from the room that'll give you a higher air flow of drier air from the house... Unless your room is around 26/27c you should benifit.

I believe it's 30 in 28 out or 28 out and 30 in. I'm about to try that method. I'm just waiting for some womens tights from ebay so I can put them over the ducting to stop bugs from entering the room lol

As @Star Dog has said your intake should be the room the tent is in.

Your exhaust should be out of the room that the tent is in.

come on @harrychilds I explained all this to you in private messages.

To reiterate.

your intake ducting should be in the room just simply a port open. It does not need to be near a window.

your exhaust should be out of your tent and out of the room to another area.

this way your dehuey is running when needed in your spare room and being taken into the tent by your intake.

if you had your intake from a window and were dehumidifying the room whats the fucking point if your intake isn’t able to pull the air from the room into the tent?

Like I said in DM’s you need to slow down, breath and ask for help if you don’t understand.

I really did go over all this intake/exhaust setup in our DM’s.
