It is soil, just peat based.

I read it has the equivalent of 1 feeding worth of nutrients, so you will have to add nutes. It is PH'd .

What do you usually use for a nutrient?

Use General Hydroponics but mixed some Rainbow Pro Mix Grow in and Lime. So I'm thinking GH and Epson Salt. But have no idea how often to feed. Been doing water twice then water and feed.

I'm afraid with Rainbow Pro Mix Grow which it says every 12 weeks I might over feed with GH.

Been thinking regular Greenhouse plants go with Plant Tone.

I'm not familiar with the Rainbow Pro Mix but it says non burning and is for making teas, etc., so it's probably mostly beneficials.

I'd feed once a week with GH for starters and see how they look. You can always add more if they start looking light colored. Then if needed maybe switch to feeding with every other watering.

Not sure which GH you are using, but I just switched to their dry maxi series and love it...Very simple!!

Coco Coir and Perlite caught my attention but then there is the salts that I ran from.

I have been using Happy Frog which hasn't given me a problem other than being high dollar.

I use a few hundred feet each year which runs into money.

The salts are from The GH Flora you are using, not the coco. You should give it a try...HUGE yields with coco!! BUT it is different from soil...It is considered hydroponic, and it needs it be watered daily. Multiple times daily is best once in flower, which is easily and inexpensively accomplished with an auto watering setup. Or if you are bored you can water by hand multiple times a day....but the yields are worth it.

Explosive growth in coco too....Probably twice as fast as soil in veg.

Yep, salt build ups will be a concern with anything using salt based fertilizers.

I like the Happy Frog too....I use it as a seed starter sometimes. Lately just use coco. Good coco....Canna coco.
