heyy i need help with a soil question, +rep if u help, plz

i need help finding i good potting soil, so i wana get some maracle grow but witch maracle grow should i get that wont fuck with my plants at all and dont have thows nuts that fuck with the plant to, so can u plz help me if u do ill + rep u

go to lowes and get that yellow bag of patio plus. It is good stuff, with all the organic amendments in it including worm casts. Ready to use. Also buy some fish 5-1-1 and some fish 0-10-10. Start using the 5-1-1 after a month once a week or so then in flower mix the two to a 4-10-10 once a week or every other watering for both cycles. There ya go. That is my thinking. You might mix in some 98 cents steer manure weed free too.

lol, I know soil, I did organic gardening in soil for a while. I am stunned how nice this patio plus by kellogs I think is for the price. Think ocean forest without perlite. Nice shit. literally. I think that a light liquid feed diet of organics like fish every other watering starting at week three sounds nice.

For miracle grow. I would try their palm and castus mix just because it dries faster and I like my soil dry. But be careful with miracle grow as it is time realse and requires a little diferent approach. I have never used it but I hear it can be a pain and a blessing. For a more regualr miracle grow just get their regualr potting soil. Then in flower stick in one of those fertilizer sticks. Simple as hell. I hear peeps have done just this.

I did organic soil for the novelty. I loved most of it. But I longed for the clean living of mineral hydro programs like the astronauts use. So I use Gh three part now with tapwater. No probs. Ebb and flow.


But their is yer sol answers I beleive dude. I am more than happy to help you out with any more advice. I took a plant pretty far in that scots time release fert. Nice.

yea i no, i think thats the best to but i like need sum shit no like go to the store tomuro, dont have a hydro store were i am and maricle is the best i can get from like malmart or sumthing like that, but witch kind of mg?

You can use MG seed starting mix and perlite, mix it 50/50 or 70/30 wich ever works better for you. The seed starting mix has enough ferts to get seeds/clones on there way, then start feeding 1-2 weeks after they have developed some nice roots. Its basically a soiless mix like sunshine or promix. The problem with other MG potting soils is that they have all that time release fertilizer in it so it not very versitile, with the seed starter/perlite mix you have alot more control. It may be hard to find this time of year though, goodluck!

I've used regular Miracle Gro potting mix before when I was tight on cash. It works fine if you dont add anything but water to it for the first 3 weeks. It doesnt drain very well, so maybe mix it up with a little peat moss and perlite, but its not totally necessary. A lot of people say how bad MG is, and they probably have never even tried growing with it before. Ocean forest is definitely the best, but MG will definitely get the job done for now, as long as you dont overfeed it.

Fox Farm ocean forest is hard to beat. I mix 70% FF to 30% peralite.
