Hey guys, does anyone know how to clean a double perc bong with solids inside?

Yes, solids. As in weed and resin mixed into a solid ball of...something. And that something somehow got into my lower perc. I've managed to clean it and get it unclogged, but the suction isn't as strong as it should be, I imaging it's the weed inside. So what do I do?

nail polish remover(the acetone based shit...not the non acetone) ;)

Run a 1/2 a bottle right through it and back and forth to dissolve away any crap in it...wash it straight out, then run the other half of the bottle through it to clean it out completely...yup its going to stink like no fucking tomorrow...then run a little soapy warm water through it...i also use mouthwash to help get rid of the acetone smell :)
 
it smells horrible...and lasts a while...ergo the washing afterwards with soapy water + mouthwash :D
 
Anyone ever come up with anything for water spots that are etched into the glass? Ive used a steel wool snake in various sizes for what I could reach but never knew of a better way if one existed. I always vape now but have some old glass that is meaningful to me and would be nice if I could get them mint again.

^^ THIS is a threadjack...go start your own thread "Etched in water spot removal?" I imagine you'll get more responses that way ;)
 
Water spots should come out with some hydrochloric (muriatic) acid. The acidic toilet bowl cleaner should also serve ... cn
For the original resin etc. contamination, a drain cleaner/opener would be my bet. they come two ways ... strong alkali (plus some hydrocarbon, like naphtha, to get the waxies) or strong sulfuric acid. They require a certain adult care to handle, but the results are "like new". cn
 
I diluted my pure sulfuric acid from 18M to 0.1M and that did the job really well. Another acid like hydrochloric or muriatic acid in low concentration will work as well. Make sure you wear proper gloves for the acid and eye protection.
 
I just throw mine into the 55 gallon drums of acid I use to dissolve the bodies of my murder victims with.

Clean as a whistle. I say bodies but it's really just the parts that aren't worth the trouble to cook or make art projects with.

Go for hydroflouric and video drinking it for us, please.
 
Rubbing alcohol with salt works good. Sodium hydroxide aka red devil drain cleaner aka lye. Lye will eat any kind of oil or grease/hair/flesh/aluminum/ pretty much anything.
