okay so its not that great... but whatever it does the job:shock:... see my plant was too tall so i cut the top off and i put the top in the flower pot.... i also put the leave trimming and some regular scraps of bud in the soil... i'm just playing around and going see if i can tinker with the plant to make it different some how, without doing the genetics thing. i'm using 15-30-15 bloom booster miracle grow and im using miracle grow soil too im also spraying it with miracle grow coz i was thinking it rains right? well the leaves get wet anyway and its not the sun its under its a 60 watt bulb that puts off a great amount of heat even from 3 inches away so i got my plant far enough away where its not to hot but just right and put my babies down there too on the alum. foil its really reflecting the light i could tell it casts a shadow when i put my hand in front of the foil... well let me know what you guys think and please dont bash me loll :peace:

nobody's going to tell you what they think w/o bashing you.

because there is absolutely nothing good about this grow. this is a failure before it began... that plant WILL not make it.

scrap this, do some reading, try again when you've learned something. this is a waste of your time.

and for the record, it's amazing how uninformed you are, have you read anything on this site?

1st problem - your light is pathetic, a 60w cfl is actually like a 12w bulb. and you're using it reflected off a standard cloth lampshade, the amount of light getting to that plant is akin to feeding a human child an ounce of chicken broth daily... it might keep it alive for a few weeks, but eventually it will die of malnourishment.

get something on the level of 100w of ACTUAL output, so get 4x24w CFL's minimum (rated at 100w equivalent) and you can start to grow one plant.

you NEED a real reflector, something polished and curved to point all the light directly at the plant, I would not suggest anything DIY for you as you do not seem to even have enough common sense to do this... no offense, but seriously, no one is going to kiss your ass and tell you you're doing anything right, if they are they aren't doing you any favors.

just because the plant is visibly lit to the eye, does not mean it is receiving adequate light for photosynthesis, these plants are used to growing in SUNLIGHT... which is incredibly bright, ever walk outside and can't open your eyes??? our eyes adjust and trick us so we can't see the difference in brightness, but a plant knows.

#2 - you are using miracle grow soil. [X] nutrients are too strong and WILL burn the plant. on top of that you are using miracle grow fertilizer with constant waterings.... you are undoubtedly water-logging the soil as well as providing FAR too much nutrients, which will literally burn the plant from the inside out, think about a chemical burn in your veins, this is what you're doing to your plant.

miracle gro soil is formulated to release strong chemical nutrients with plain water, it has little beads that dissolve when you water... so you're using the miracle gro liquid on top of it and putting even more excess nutrients in... cannabis hates miracle gro.

regardless, the first 2-4 weeks of growth, no inorganic fertilizers of any kind should be present in the soil. the plant is running off nutrient reserves in the cotyledons and needs no nutritional supplementation, any further nutrients will burn the plant, noticeable as leaf tips that look yellow/brown/burnt and poor growth.

#3 - you only have ONE plant, what happens when it ends up being a male? do you know how much bud a male produces? ZERO. and you have a 50/50 shot right there, fortunately this poor plant will never even make it to the flowering stage.

#4 - do you live with your parents and/or are you under the age of 16? yes and yes.

all excellent reasons to go play video games or start a vegetable garden with your mom.

Lol!You should dump that & restart.Mj plants dont agree good with mirical grow.Youll be lucky if it lives.Way overstretched.Theyres plenty of info on here to help you learn more about growin.Youre best bet is to check stickys, theyre always on the top of the thread boards. They help, believe me.And when you grow tired of reading.Get on youtube & look around.Theyres 100s(probly 1000s) of very helpful vids on growing & setups.I not going to try & tell you how you should grow cause everyone has theyre own preferances on what to use etc.But im speaking from experiance.Heres the basics on advice I can give you.
#1)Plan out youre grow area before you seed.
#2)Always keep good air/ventilation going. They need fresh air to live & stay healthy.
#3)If youre worried about smell, dont just plant any seed.Almost all plants have a potent scent during flowering & can get worse when close to harves.Order low odor strains(seeds) from attitude seedbank. They gurante delivery!
#4)Try to get soil that doesnt have time release,Almost all Miracle grow soils have that in it.
#5)Dont tell anyone youre growing. It just takes one person to get word out.
#6)Get a timer for youre lights.I suggest a digital,more reliable.
#7)Veg-18/6 then flower-12/12(lights on/off)
#8)Keep in mind the day you switch to 12/12 they can grow 3 times the height by time for harvest.
#9)Keep youre grow area clean. You don't want pest eating up youre crops.
#10)Always water right before or lil after youre lights kick on.
#11)Be careful not to overfeed,it can relly put a hurt on the overall outcome.
#12)Keep the light(s) close as you can w/o burning to the plant.Because,You dont want to stretch youre plants.
#13)If youre using cfls. One isnt going to do for one plant,& one just siting on top won't work well as it grows.
#14)Let youre soil dry out a lil before you water again.Put youre finger in the soil,if 1/4" to 1/2" is dry or pretty much dry.Its time to water.
#15)Always use pots that have plenty of small holes in the bottem. This alows you to drain excess water & complety cover the soil.
#16)try to use pots that are taller, but not as wide.
Theyres alot more that comes into play, but this is just the start lol.Welcome to RIU my friend,Good luck!
Edit-I suggest geting a 150w HPS system w/ballast,prewired w/reflector kit. They cost a lil more then CFL bulbs. But you will get a faster & beter grow. They produce more heat, but if you can take care of that.Youll be alot happier then using a bunch of cfls.By the tie you have enough cfls for a sucessful grow, you couldve bought a HPS system.Again im not bashing or tryin to tell you how you should grow.Just suggesting from experiance.I started with cfls. When I upgraded to HPS I never turned back.It grows so much beter & faster!

true i think for $19 from a guy i think it was a good investment if it dies i learned somthing if it dont i learned somthing i hope it lives so i get the rewards but heck i'm hopeful and thanks

The only non asshole thing I can say is search for Mr.Green's 9 part video series on youtube about starting out. That got me ready after I did a solid month of reading. Burn this entire set up. Did you wrestle those cups away from a pit bull?

lmao did u ask a friend for a lower fan leaf and then stick that into soil just for a picture? First off since its very clear you are lving with your parents and under aged... do you know anything about how much a pot plant smells, how large a real plant can actually get and the lighting that is needed to sustain plant life? You have a lamp reflecting light off its shade and then onto what looks like ur version of reflective surface. Im no expert but i can confidently say that plant is getting about 1 lumen.

it WILL die.

by not listening to people who know what they're talking about you're REFUSING TO LEARN FROM YOUR MISTAKES.

you will receive no rewards for this.

seriously, take some time and do it right... your father should have taught you that.

$19? good investment? really you must be 12.

well it's a good thing you're hopeful, because you will fail at everything you ever try to do, if you take this approach...

Speedy, I have no idea what is going on in that photo... What the hell are those plants stuck inside? Looks like little bags at this resolution... And does he have like ten plants in one pot? Haha.

Okay, for some actual stuff...

First, like others have said, that is NOT enough light. This is extremely easy to fix.

1. Go to a hardware store.
2. Get a surge protector (Bigger the better) ~$10
3. Get (four) lamp-socket to plug adapters. ~$8
4. Get four 26w (100w equiv) DAYLIGHT (6400k) bulbs for veg. ~$10
5. Connect the lights to the surge protector.
6. Put the surge protector above the plants, so that the SIDES of the CFL bulbs are facing the plants (Not the tops of the CFL bulbs -- CFL bulbs emit most of their light through the sides).
Total cost: $28

This is enough light for a single plant (Though it certainly wouldn't hurt to have more).

Second, miracle grow is NO. Your plant WILL die if you're feeding it AND keeping it in time-release MG soil. Hell, it may die from the soil ALONE.

FREE solution? Go outside, find some soil, and transplant the plant into this new soil. This soil might not be much better (I have no idea what the soil is like where you live), but regardless it'll probably do much better than MG.

Cheap solution? Go buy some cheap brand of soil that DOESN'T have time-released fert.

Best solution? Fox farms, but pricey.

Third: General lack of information. Sorry to say, but from the look of this grow you really have no idea what you're doing. I highly recommend reading a LOT of the information on these boards, and starting over.

My buddy made tons of mistakes on his first grow, and he'd read tons of stuff months beforehand! Growing plants isn't as simple as lighting it, and giving it water every once in a while. It's complicated, and there's a LOT to learn. Read up for a few hours, and you'll have gained invaluable knowledge.

jiffy pellets, I went round his house once and he was so damn excited to tell me what he was up to, i walked into the room, and there was a wardrobe that looked like it had aliens inside, because every crack had such bright intense light flowing out of it.

Before he opened it up, i knew what was going on, then he opened the door and I did a knee jerk reaction.

wtf is going on there, I didn't know you were into bdsm mate.

should have seen the flower room :(

I'll look to see if i have a shot.

ok ok ok if i get the proper lighting and dont feed it anymore and just water it when the soil is dry then is that ok? the plant is very green right now bright green and darker green near the base of the main stem i have roots coming out from the main stem just above the soil now i know this plant certainly is not going to die its way too healthy and the containers im using are conatiners from my kitchen stuff i am 21 yo and i live in my apartment the soil here in minnesota is still frozen and way to cold man so you can see mg is the only thing i could think of then a bag of soil from dollar store i looked for higher phospherus and i have other vital but not really needed nutriants like zinc and iron and potash and other stuff the plant food is 15-30-15 and i dulted it to 1/4 of the real thing with water i know what im doing ive done this before guys just the dang thing was bought cuz the guy put damn fish in the soil now i donno bout you but i had to take that stuff out
