whats the best dirt i could get from ace hardware .

Get a potting soil with no nutes in it and you should be fine. I don't think too many people know what Ace carries.

i use Miracle grow. i dont see what people have against it. its cheap and itll feed your plants for about the entire cycle. then you can reuse it and then start using nutes. ive never had any trouble with it. i also like to mix my MG with MG organic sometimes too. this reduces the amount of nutes in the soil to help prevent nute burn if your going to use a bloom booster.

I have an Ace near me, but I have a hydro store even closer. I use the Ocean Forest. But I'm going to try Subcool's super soil on my next planting.

so Ocean Forest is at ace

No Fox Farm at Ace try www.foxfarmfertilizer.com they have a section that will tell you the nearest store to you for Fox Farm supplies but always call the store first to make sure they have it there.
