Hermies, clones hermies too?

So I had 5 gorgeous plants 1-2 weeks into flowering and discovered that 4 were male and cut those down. The last one is definitely hermie, having nuts and pistils. So my question is, are her/his clones going to be hermie as well or is it a crap shoot on how they will turn out?

Maybe this will be a good candidate to hit with some colloidal silver and let it pollinate itself? :?

Thanks, peace! =)

If you hermied them because of stress then the plant should be ok but if you have confidence that they hermied under normal conditions just throw them out.

did they develop dicks suddenly and out of nowhere? the plants dont look in poor condition so, i wouldnt clone that plant

Well this one first appeared to be male along with the other 4 bastards, but then literally the day I was cutting down the males, I noticed this one had pistils too! I may have stressed them a little bit but nothing major. I had to take my light down twice for a few hours during veg which would have been the only stress they had.

I already have 2.5 clones off of it that I took 1 week before flowering. 2 of them are doing good and 1 may or may not make it.

This has been SO frustrating, I keep trying to tell myself it's ok, it's a learning experience, but I at least wanted a little fruit from my labor. =(

So this hermie, is it even worth growing out for a little smoke and maybe some seeds or is it best just to chop it. I have no other plants, just this one.

o u didnt mention u had nothing to lose

if conditions were too hot, that makes hermies

if they have looked healthy the whole grow it is genetics in which case ur fuwked

just faced the same question myself, 1 hermie female
chose to finish, not as much usable bud as seedless, but i don't need too much
who knows what bud quality you may get, i didn't get much from my hermie, but it's strong bud

Right on, I think I'll let the hermie finish just for the experience but I'm thinking I'll destroy the clones. I don't want to put all that time and effort into them and risk having them turn out to be crapola too. =)

Some plants have Hermie tendencies. Some plants won't hermie.

Stress a plant with Hermie tendencies, and it will Hermie.
Stress a plant without Hermie tendencies, and it probably won't Hermie.

The role of minor Stress causing Hermies, is way over-rated, genetics play the MAJOR role.
If you take clones from that plant, it will show the same hermie tendencies.

I would NOT clone it, why waste your time. :joint::peace:

^^^ I actually took 2.5 clones off this Herman Munster 1 week before flowering. They are still vegging awaiting their fate. =)

of course they will. when u clone its an exact snapshot of the host., and if its hermi ,sick, diseased etc, the clones will be too.
