Hermie Question/Tent light leaks?

So i am 2 weeks into flower, and 4 of my 6 plants are looking like hermies. I cannot for the life of me figure out what caused it. My question is does anyone have any bad experiences with vent flaps on the walls of their tents? they have covers on the inside of the tent that SUPPOSEDLY keep all the light out during the dark period. However, these are definite balls forming on my plants. They were off to a slow start, and i did have some overwatering issues. Im wondering if that possibly stressed them to the point of herming?

I have the Aviditi 4x4x6.5 tent..anyone with one by that brand? I am convinced the light leak (if any) was not from my ducting, as both my intake and exhaust have long runs with a few bends in them. ANY HELP would be greatly appreciated....im pretty down about this at the moment... haha

I have the same size tent that i got off ebay and im having the same problem you are. i believe also the culprit are my vents. Were all the balls you found down low on the plants?

Hermies can come from stress- lack of light, too much light, nutes too strong, RH, pH swings... and sometimes it's the expression of that particular seed

Before using tents (or anything plastic), I would set them up outside, and let the sun de-gas for a few days. Hose em down a few times, probably use a mild soap + ammonia

all of my balls (im currently slicing them off daily) are down low, yes. id say 95% are down low, and Ive found a few up higher...however, im trying to keep up with the slicing and still get good results...

i had some overwatering issues earlier in their lives...a transplant into 5 gal smart pots perked them up quickly...temps were a bit crazy up and down early on too...im guessing that mine was stress induced moreso than the vent flaps being the culprits IMO

i did set mine up right out of the box and planted directly inside it. are there harmful chemicals that can fuck with your plants if they arent "de-gased"? ill be the first to admit i was a bit hasty with my setup

oh it is completely dark when i zipped myself inside. i think its a diff kind of stress that induced the hermies. oh well, ive gotten quite used to the ball slicing haha

Even keeping up with the slicing. One pod to open up and ur ither girls are pollinated. pollin can also stay in room after u harvest so.watxh ur next crop.
And when u slice be gentle not to burst the sac open. That bad news. Hermis are more trouble then shat they are worth. I just chopped mine added it to the hash pile.

LOL, chopping a young male does not make it any more suitable for hash than a plastic bag. You have to grow them out to get any value for any of the little THC they produce.
