hermie or swollen calyxes?

Good day to all,I have a newbie question. Although I'm not really new to growing, on my 4th grow now, this is my first grow in almost 2 years. The first 3 grows went off without a hitch, I was growing in soil then and now I'm using coco. I noticed today that 2 plants that are about 2.5 weeks into flower have a few balls or either swollen calyxes on them. They have 2 white hairs coming out the tips but they are round like a ball. There are no " cluster" of them just one here and there. They are clones from feminized seeds. I have 6 off the same mother plant but only 2 have these. I just need a little help before I go crazy and cut it down? Thank you so much to anyone that can help.

yeah calyx shape and size is genetic/strain specific..ive seen tiny ones and huge ones. pick the most suspect calyx and slice it open. inside theres a little green ball which is called an ovule, which is like an unfertilized egg..or a seed if "pollinated". this is also strain specific/genetic as some plants dont show in this way and some do, to different degrees.

Yes I did break one open, it is kind of hard almost like a seed, should it be like that? There was white stuff inside it, like the white hairs that are sticking out just hadn't come all the way out yet. So if it is the calyxes why would only 2 of the 6 plants have them? Maybe they did and I just didn't notice? The other 4 are in 4 weeks flower, while these 2 are under 3 weeks.

id be more worried about the ones that dont have calyxes? and yeah if its tiny..like tinytinytiny and green its an ovule.. if you cut open a mature calyx with brown pistils (receding) you should see a little dead one, if unpollinated they just die off.

Did you see the pics I posted? They all look like that, some still have white hairs coming out but most the hairs have turned Brown now. A male would not have pistols or "hairs" sticking out of the ball, is that correct?

well yeah if it was male it wouldnt show pistils, the question was hermie or not. in that case it would show both, and theyres obviously pistils.
