HERMIE BRANCH GROWING FROM COLA?!

Im a good 5 weeks into flower and I noticed a node growing out of a main topped cola. I initially thought that this was going to put on mass and form into more bud but over the last few days I've noticed male features. Has anybody have this happen to them before? I've cut the stem being as careful as possible not to spread any pollen. So far I've not noticed any male bananas growing anywhere else on this plant. What do you's guys think? Thanks in advance for any tips and help :-)

Wow, never seen a sacs like that form so late on the main cola; that bites. SnapsProvolone is correct you definitely will get some seeds.

Those genetics are easy to flip. Dont grow them if you don`t want to ever see bananas again. You can do a hermie test that will declare it a hermie scientifically or you can believe that it is and move on to another strain that isnt going to flip sexes so easily. Spraying with products such as REVERSE will protect it from flipping and keeping a sharp eye will help but you must ask yourself if all the extra work is really what you want to be doing. I have lost many great strains by moving on and am very sad, but as a breeder it is my duty to move on when I see an undesirable trait. Grow many strains so becomes great to be stuck with 150 strains after weeding out the hermies.

Not sure what to say about this post. sounds like your trying to sell snake oil. I have to say looking at your 5 posts since you joined yesterday I don't know about you either lol(a lot of claims).

Although "Those genetics are easy to flip" and "You can do a hermie test that will declare it a hermie scientifically" seem like off the cuff VERY generic statements, but what do I know.

Montana Biotech has a hermaphrodite test kit for cannabis. I should have been more clear when saying scientifically. I had to look it up since I forgot the name off hand. It must be this Amnesia Haze x Kali Mist that is clouding my memory. I call this strain F`getaboutit... aka Ygreiga from Medical Seeds Spain second place sativa TY Expo Cup 2012 Highest tested at TY 27%thc.

I don't know maybe I'm too old and tired but 5 posts and a lot of claims make me judge and I can handle it as good as I can shell it out, At least I can back up my talk.

Well I still don't see why anyone would want to waste money on something like that when if indeed you get a hermi just grow it out or get rid of it.

The hermie test kit is intended to test before you put the plant in to flower to save you from wasting your time and risking rogue pollen. It can also be used to prove that there is a stress in the environment that is causing your plant to flip sexes if a strain tests negative for a hermaphrodite.

Ahhhh guys I'm not going to lie I'm stressed out. I can't see anymore sacs on the plant it was just that one stem from the cola. I'm considering to grow it out...or is it suicide? Throw or grow?
