Hi all,

I cut around 50% of the buds off my plants on the weekend (The top buds and centre cola off one & then just the centre colas off the other two).

There is quite a bit left to cut off the other 2, but I thought I would let them go a few more days as some of the lower buds did not look done, where as the tops were all fine.

I have checked them tonight and some of the buds are starting to have seed coming out of them, small green round pods. I will post a photo later, but they are definately seeds :~(

Nooooooo

Anyways, what to do?

Chop and throw or continue growing and pick the seeds out when mature - I am happy to keep it and do this as I am only doing a small grow for my own use, but will it be ok to smoke?

Also, will I have to scrub my tent before my next grow?

Thanks

They are probably not seeds at this stage, and I doubt that plant went hermie either. They are probably just swollen calixes thats it, just puffy little pods that some little white hairs will come out of. Mine usually do this around the time they are ready for harvest, usually in the last couple weeks. If you squeeze one it should just flatten out, try it, should just pop.

I have been watching your thread and I firmly believe your plants are ready for the total chop and smoke. Any ways your plant, by the way, look great abd I hope the smoke is the same. Have you tested it yet?

Thanks Brasmith,

I think you could be right, I have picked some off and they did just flatten out. They look just like little seed pods coming out of the bud, but there is nothing inside.

Fingers crossed anyway :~)

Yep, I tried a bud which got snapped off by mistake a week and a half or so ago, was quite a head high but have not laughed that much for years, so pretty happy with it.

Think I will chop them on Saturday.

Sure Muffin anytime. Glad the high was nice. So, how did it feel to take a hit off your first (first right?) ever home grown by yourself? PRIDE????? did ya feel it

Ha Ha, yep was great to have the first smoke off her, my first attempt yes :~)

Some of the buds which I took off last week are dryish so have jarred them
crispy on the outside & still a little moist on the inside.

That's when the rollitup grow fao said to jar them anyway?

Although v pleased with them, I kind of wish I had gone with a white
strain as these look nice, but I don't look at them and go like, wow if
you know what I mean.

Here's some picks anyway.

Yep I do know what you mean about the wow factor. The grow I did before this one really lacked the wow factor for me, but everyone else (friends and family) was real impressed with it.

Every grow you do will be better than the last because you get better at reading your plants and what to do with them. I think your little nugs look excellent. They have alot of crystals abd nice coloring to them. They also look like you took them down at the perfect time.

Here is a link to my nearly finished grow, check it out if you like. I really wish I would have posted this thread to the grow journals forum:

Today I will post some updated pics of the girls.

Thanks Brasmith,

Your plants are looking really healthy.

Looking forward to seeing the updated pics...

My babies are starting to smell great after 4 days or curing too.

Not sure when to cut the rest of the them though? Have looked at them under scope and there are still a few clear trics, so may give them to wednesday I think.

I need to switch my lights to 20/4 as I have 3 x Lowlife White Russians which are about 2 weeks old, so should really get them under proper lighting.

Harvesting when you have a mixture of trichome colors (clear, milky, and amber) is a good time. Then you get that all over high. I take mine down when the trichomes have reached that combo and the hairs are about half red.

I have heard great things about the LWR's, thinking about trying some of the low rider strains for my next endevour.

Btw, you should grow the lwr's under 18/6 light cycle. This is the recommended light cycle and this is the schedule lr's thrive under. They will flourish under this cycle and be done seed to harvest in 50-60 days.

Clear, Milky & Amber is what I am waiting for, but they seem to be taking an age to go amber :~( The hairs are half red, maybe a bit more than that, so just a matter of days I guess.

I went for LWR's as the three Church I currently have are huge & have to be rotated on a daily basis to ensure that they all get equal light. This is proving a bit of a pain + I don't think it helps the plants with stress banging them round on a daily basis.

Thanks for the advise of the 18/6 too...

Am considering a Sativa next time round, but have read that they grow really tall and take between 12-14 to flower, so am undecided what to do after the LWR?!?

Those six girls look amazing, some great bud on them.
