This is a test run, one that hopefully brings great results.

Germinated seed in Ferry Morse greenhouse, waited for the little baby to show herself, popped the ferry morse germination disc into a small planter and she's now 7 days old. She sits comfortably atop my private deck, under the glory of a perfectly clear sky in 60 degree weather. At some point I will want to either move her to a remote location in a heavily wooded, well lit area, or bring her indoors..Not sure yet.

I know I will get roasted for my simplistic approach to this, but I want to give it a shot.

Comments and critique are always welcome.

Seed: Bagseed
Soil: Miracle grow :)

Day 8:

A few days of heavy clouds, sub 45 temps, wind and rain is forecasted.

Not sure what to do at this early phase. Going to bring her indoors until the weather passes, and keep her under an over the counter light source in the kitchen.

If anyone objects, or has a suggestion, please feel free to let me know.

Day 8 (part 2):

Ok, well, she was looking a little depressed, perhaps the lack of sun, cloudy weather and rain put her in a little bit of a funk....

She was droopy. She is now under two 15 watt fluro's (about 4 inches away) and she seems to have fully regained all of her glory. She is now standing at attention! Looks like she might make it through the day after all...

DAY 11:

Well, my attempts to thwart mother natures attempt to kill my little lady (lucy) seems to have worked great.

She made it 3 days, indoors under the fluro's...

And she's looking GREAT (SEE PICS)..

She is now back out under the clear sky with the sun shinning down on her. Just need a little warmer weather and some more consistent sun to really get things moving...

DAY 14:

The bad weather is gone and it looks like spring is here to stay... forecast is 70 degrees and sunny for the next few days...

So she is back out in the sun again...No more fluros (for now anyway).....

I'm debating between taking her to her final grow spot in isolated area that I found outdoors, or bringing her in when she gets big and strong enough and putting her under an HPS.....we shall see..

Please post any comments or critique that you may have.

Thanks

A little more light? She looks perfect, no?
looks great, yes. If your frost is over and you have the site prepped, go for it. Just brace yourself for a possible dissapointment. Lots of evil things lurking out there just waiting to take advantage of your little <hopefully> girl. good luck I'll be pulling for ya. slabhead

Yeah...I'm thinking about bringing her indoors shortly and putting her under the HPS...:idea:

DAY 18:

Big doings today! (THE PICTURES ARE FROM YESTERDAY, prior to the transplant)

First, she has been transplanted from the small pot into a larger pot as the root system was spreading like wildfire and I wanted to give it more room to spread out. I hope I did not hurt her during the transplant, about 7 hours later and she seems fine.

Bad weather has forced me to turn this into an INDOOR grow. She is now 2 feet beneath a 600watt HPS. Not sure if that's too close, or not close enough, but time will tell. She's in a great space. Even with the HPS running, the temp remains at about 65-70...No more. Humidity is about 50%....

Any tips with respect the the light schedule, water, feeding etc would be very helpful.

DAY 22:

So she seems to be thriving under the HPS.

I do have a few questions.

Please use the images for reference.

1. Can I tell the sex yet?
2. Notice the curvature of the original two leaves, is that normal? they seem healthy, just curving a bit.
3. Overall, how does she look to you?

MODERATOR/ADMIN: can you please re-tittle the thread to INDOOR grow please? Thank you

You might as well start a new thread, the edit post feature is jacked.

Do you have other nutrients to use or are you just using miracle grow with 600w HPS?

The whole logic behind growing more than one plant is that you have a higher chance of getting females.

If this plant goes male, you get nothing. If you plant 2, that increases the likelihood of getting at least one female good seed or bag seed doesn't matter.

Thanks man...I'll do that.

As for the male vs female. When can I know the difference? (new seedlings are coming)

How do you have a 600W HPS and not know when to put plants into flower...?

Put them into 12/12 when they are mature enough, wait for alternating nodes.

I was thinking about your solo plant as I was moving males away from females. Hope it's still working for ya. The last pics are sure looking good...yours not mine
