herbtoker's first grow: easy sativa, northern lights, and pure afghani

thanks cheezy... thats nice of you! i wish people didnt stop lookin at my journal. i was enjoying the help and loved the suggestions. i was trying to help them as much as i could too but i guess i did something wrong.

do you have a grow journal i can check out?

ill put up new pictures in about 10 minutes!

and yes i will let you know what my dry weight comes out to be! i have no idea... im hopin for a hp now but i have no clue since ive never done this before. either way, im glad i did it and im very glad i got some experience! i feel that after this i will know what im doing at least a little more and will be a much better gardener next year.

today i went to do some watering, nuting and molasses-ing. i was happy to see my babies filling in nicely, but i need to start watering them more often. lots of yellow leaves... oops!

the first one is and easy sativa that i didnt top. nice big pretty bud! i love this one... cant wait to try her out! shes the only e.s. not turning purple... wierd but its awesome.

the second one is an easy sativa bud from my smaller of the two topped ones. the third is same thing, but the other bud from her.

the fourth is the other topped easy sativa, but both buds in one. they are looking pretty good id have to say.

the fifth one is a full... uh... body shot of the n.l. shes looking beautiful! the last is her top bud. small, but she has potential and should soon be a nice looking weed.

let me know what you all think. i know theyre small, but its my first time and im happy. i dont have any that will produce poundage, but they should be just fine for me. next time ill go for the gold!

Those are some serious babes.....ya my girls arent to far behaind.... im thinking 2-3 weeks more.... check the thread herb....just go to my pro... and search all threads....it the masta kush first grow.... its funny cause lately a lot of people havent been around.

Hi Herbtoker, sorry I haven't been around much lately, I haven't even updated my own journal in awhile. I do still check in on all of the updates of everyones journal that I've ever posted in, I just don't always have time to stick around and leave comments too.
Your girls are looking really nice, love the purpling leaves and buds.
I haven't got any pics up yet of it, but my White Rhino's are getting purple in the buds now. I find that rather strange considering that I thought the Kahuna's & the Heath's Black Rose were supposed to be the purple ones.

no problem big guy, i understand... been busy lately to and just started doin some updates again. your plants look amazing. i wish mine were as big as some of yours but ill just have to strive for that next year. i know the purple is beautiful! its probably cause the temp has been a little cooler here than during the summer but as long as they dont die im lovin their color!

i went to water yesterday and discovered that one of my babies had broken! its been rainy and really windy here so im guessing that it got heavy from the water and got pushed over by the rain. it was my small topped one, but luckily only one of the tops was broken off. right where the stem splits the smaller of the two tops broke off. i brought her home for an early dry and a test smoke. ill let you know how she is when shes done dryin.

otherwise, theyre looking good. pics for you all today are a close up of the other topped plant (that wasnt broken), a shot of my non-topped easy sativa in full bud, and a full body shot of my northern lights.

can anyone guess what ill yeild? i have no idea and would love to get a rough estimate. thanks!

im thinkin 2-4 ounces per plant....sorrry bout the plant.

thanks for the guess cheezy. that makes me happy... someone else told me no more than one oz per plant. i hope not.

thanks for the concern... its sad but im tryin to look on the bright side and say i can smoke some while waiting for my others to try and grow. hopefully it gets me high cause there were no amber crystals so i know she wasnt ready. they were mostly milky though, so hopefully i get some head high.

my babies are looking good still. im thinking about 2 more weeks with the easies and maybe 4 more with the northern lights but if you think i might be off let me know! i tried some of the easy that broke and it was a great head high. i want to leave them a little longer though cause i love a good body too.


got pictures of them all for everyone so let me know what you think or any more ideas for them.

how is the afghani? i recently potted up some afghani number 1 from sensi seeds. was just wondering how they fare out???

sadly, i think i might have killed the only afghani i planted. i only did one and did everything the same with it as the other five (i only have 4 now cause one of the nl's was a male). i gave it 5 days to break ground and then dug it up to see what was wrong with it but it was all dried up

well thank you big guy! i love the buds on that easy too and i cant wait for the nl to start getting fuller. mine look absolutely nothing like yours though... i wish i had some big bushes like you have! mine have nice buds but not a lot of them... yours are just crazy!

anyone got any ideas when i should harvest? im thinkin one week from tomorrow for the easys?

sorry i didnt get pics today or yesterday. my camera was being difficult so i hope i dont have to get a new one.

we cut the little purple one friday and the topped easy on saturday. little purple wasnt lookin so hot... maybe some stress from her other branch getting broken. she was a great plant to smoke... had to quick dry some and im stoned to the bone! not very much bud, but potent for sure

The big topped one had buds turning brown and falling off. We gave her good watering but on saturday when we went to check on her she looked worse!
I cut her down and dried for a day so far (obviously haha). weighed what i got and it came out to 63.6 (NOT including little purple). im not sure what we got from little purple cause we eyeballed it half and half (me and the growin buddy) and he quick dried all of it and smoked it all that night.

so we still have two more growin... the last easy comes down this friday night and the northern still has a few weeks left. i just hope she doesnt get frost bite!

ill post a pretty picture of the buds that im drying right now tomorrow if i get my camera workin. it will just be my half of the two plants minus a couple bowls (quick dryed bud tastes terrible but still gets you stoned!)

oh and by the way i havent been giving any of the plants nutes for the past week except for northern. She will be a beautiful plant when shes finished!

heres the picture of all my buds except for a few bowls. theyre gettin pretty dry and i think im gonna put them in jars tomorrow or tonight.

this is half of the two plants... about an ounce im thinkin so not very much!

looks pretty good too me..... youre next batch will only get better....good job...

those two plants yeilded about 40 or 45 g dry. i was pretty disappointed

just chopped the untopped easy friday night. she looks really crystally but i prolly wont get more than 30 g from her. oh well.

the big topped plant was the best smoke ive had in a long time. she tasted amazing and got me stoned as shit!

now all thats left is my n.l. im so sad! i might start an indoor crop though so that will be great.

ill post some pics tomorrow or sometime later this week.

just smoked some of my new stuff out of my new bong. its great... heady high with a little body high as well. it actually tasted pretty good. i water cured for two weeks before chopping and dryed her and cured her for a little while.

thanks cheezey... yea i am very happy i got some bud but was hoping for a little more. theyre small plants, but potent! i love the bud from the untopped easy. cant wait to try the nl's! just was hoping for a little more, but am so happy my first grow was successful.

chopped the last one and it didnt give me much bud. about 25 grams dry.... but it is actually really good! the last picture i posted is of her right before chopping her later that night.

these other two pics are of the nl the day i chopped the untopped one. she looks like the best bud producer ill have. i love how many bud sites she has! any suggestions for her?
