Hi all.

Well I think it is a good idea to share the things that go wrong as well as the things that go right. So I decided to swolow my pride and tell you about my little experament that went wrong.

First off, I was not trying to change the hempy bucket , I was just trying to modifie it so I could use equipment that I already had.

The plan was to use normal pots, and place them in a tray. Using the tray as the Rez insted of having a hole 2" up the pot. (Bascly my pots have wholes in the bottom that I was having truble filling in)

I was removing a male today, and when I liffted the pot, there wa a lot of roots that had grown out of the pot, But they where all rotten, really rotten.

I haven't looked into the pots yet to see how far up the rot goes. I hope not to far. I cut off all the rotten roots, and used an Enzyme to help eat away what was left.

I will be repotting tommrow so fingerses crossed.

Any ways. Just thought I would let you know.

I willl update on there progress, the plants still look healthy and are growing quickly.
Pics tomorrow.

Ye. I have been wondering around my graden (One of thoes old house with sheds full of servral gernrations of peoples crap) and found an asortment of buckets. I am currently soacking them in H2o2.

Thanks for the addvice.
The rot doesn't go into the pots I am hoping that the Enzyms will eat/cure it. The plants are looking good decpite.

After much thinking I have decided that what went wrong was this:
The roots had grown out of the pots and into the tray, the tray was filled with Hydroton, which unfortantly dryed out to fast. leaving the roots dry one day and wet the next.
Also what was happening was when I was taking the pots out (Although I was being carefull) they where moving in the trays and coursing the roots already weakened, to get damaged. which Then led to the rot. Live and lern.

On the Pluse Side my DWC grow will mature in just 5 days. hehe. :joint:

Cool beans. Sounds reasonable the damaged roots got infected. YaY for mature plants!

No not a yankee. I like to experament and sometimes it goes wrong, sometimes it goes right. I beleave that offten there is more to be lernt from an experament that went wrong than one that went right.

Any ways. I will post a few pics this eveing.

Also, any one interested in my double layer havest experament that is currently running. check out my thread. The results from the first harvest will be in soon and there are lots of pics of my buds and explonations of what I am doing.

Well glad you got a sense of humor. I tend to joke around with folks sometimes. Guess its the annonimity of dealing with folks in cyber space. That keeps folks from getting punched in the nose and stuff like that:) I want you to re explain this deal sometime when I aint drinking and smoking. Thanks. Hey if you want to tease me about something feel free. I got a very thick skin.

Sorry bigwheel. I just re read your post.

No, I have space issue at the moment, untill my big room is empty I can't use proper hempy buckets. at the moment there just in normal pots, acting like normal pots. nothing speical about it. just top feed every day or two.

6 days time they will be in proper hempy buckets doing the hempy thing.
