Hempy, 400 watt Tent, and a Dream!

I pre-rinsed the perlite with the garden hose, thinking it would probably be cleaner/easier to do it outside of the bucket though, considering rigging up something with window screen & 2x4s for next times. Thus far Im 100% perlite, but am tossing around the idea of adding some vermiculite or coco.

I use a full sink strainer. I do 3 batches of perlite, one batch of vermiculite, then mix.

It works great.

I'm having my first problem. I took 5 AK 48 clones (100% on cloning so far). They look like this:IMGP0819.jpgIMGP0820.jpg

I foliar fed with a high p fertilizer thinking it was a phosphorous issue. that didn't help. Any ideas?

What is your pH at? P would also be my 1st guess from the pics, wondering if you got some nute-lock. (???)

Pew, that's exactly what I was thinking. I just finished a thorough flush @ 5.8.

I've gotten a bit lackadaisical as everything has been on cruise control. The clones are all doing so well up to this point that I lost focus.

Lesson learned! ;)

It's day 40 and we're moving right along. If I knew what strains I had, guessing an approximate chop date would be easy. As it is, I guess I'll learn about harvesting with a bright light and a jeweler's loupe.

The stumble with the AK48 clones is a small setback but not one that will ruin the day.

The larger seedling is a Speed Devil #2 auto. It's for the Autoflower Cage Match thread. The smaller seedling is a Barney's LSD. The Green Poison did not germinate. I dug it out and the seed never cracked. It's going in the garden outside. If it pops, I'll cut some clones and grow them out inside.IMGP0821.jpg IMGP0822.jpg

The AK is as big as the other plants, smelling a bit, and throwing hairs everywhere. Historically, I haven't greatly enjoyed smoking AK47 as much as some others due to the odor. I hope that changes as the plant is a pleasure to grow. IMGP0824.jpg

The bag seed is hairy with zero bud growth. BUDDER is coming soon.

The two Nirvana plants are making me quite happy. The branches need support now as the buds are getting large enough to stress the lower branches.

IMGP0826.jpgIMGP0827.jpgIMGP0825.jpg

My plan right now is to keep all the plants in the tent until chop. As the plants come down, I'll maybe start scrogging the AK48. There's a good chance that the AK will be alone in the tent for a while. I'm gone a lot during the summer and will have a hard time maintaining the indoor grow.

I ordered a couple of packs of auto's that will be going outside. These are not feminized so I'm hoping for seeds. The resulting bud (if it grows) will all be turned into hash and budder for the winter. The seeds will be saved for growing next summer.

I'm glad to see Pew and Oog getting their grows going.

Pew, why did you choose to go with straight perlite? I guess I should ask in your journal....

Cheers!

I wish I had more folks to give them to. I took way too many.

The 4X4 tent seems to be about right for 4 plants. Any more than that and I'm spinning my wheels.

Outside would be great. I'm at the other end of the world. We have 20-22 hours of light here in teh summer. I don't know how to grow outside yet.

I'll be in Albany for a couple of weeks in the fall next year. Should be a good time.

damn 20 hours is crazy yeah but as summer goes on days get shorter so ya plants will naturally bud.

It freezes here when the light gets to 12/12. There have been some great outdoor grows up here but I don't have the inside scoop on picking up the strains that work.

I'm looking.
