Helpless with hydro

Well ive failed two rounds of hydro growing So im going the good old soil route. Can anyone give me any advise on what soil is good to use. Can I find anything good at home depot or walmart? I must have the brownest thumb EVER! Any help is useful!!!!!! Thanks

Whatever you do, dont buy soil from lowes or walmart or home depot.

I promise for the exact same price if not cheaper you can get Fox farm Ocean Forest from your local hydroponics store.

just google hydro store+ your local state.

You will find one, and the drive will be well worth it.

Thanks for the tip Ganja. Is that because of the ph or nute levels? Do you mix those with anything like pearlite or something simillar? Im hoping to actually take a crop to bud. Maybe I will be able to do it this time

most things in life dont come ez stick with it and it will come for ya but in the mean time run half hydro and half soil at least ull get half .. keep reading and the experience will help

You know though I bet you would really like coco, it is very similar to Soil but still considered Hyrdoponic.

don't you add perlite to the ocean forest?

check into promix bx with mychorhyze and lime. It is ph buffered (makes phing easy as hell) and the mychorhyze colonizes the roots and really helps for strong nute uptake. get some good hydro nutes too.

I do really like Promix as well... But make sure to get terra nutes.

oh and its not nessecary to add perlite to FFOC but many do...
