x-represent an unknown number

when you have same strain parents you get x number of phenos

now a cross the number x is whut doubled to xx number of phenos ?? (is the number doubled from like parents)

now if you take a cross as a mother and a different cross for the father the xx number of phenos is whut xxxx ?? ( and is this doubled froma cross )

i hope this makes enough sence to get an answer if not ill try to reword it

thanks

i prefer a 2 strain cross

but sum doing three - a cross and a femed seed (example)
sum doing a four strain cross - a cross x a cross (example)

so whut happens to number of phenos is my question

im an outdoor kinda guy, i have a cfl grow going but outdoor is just smoother with the right supplies. but heres how i see it its kind of like a dog.. you can cross and cross and cross, but how many times before you have just a straight up litter of mutts which can either be real good or real baddd.. i may sound retarded saying this... but its how it works in my mind haha best way to do it.... experiment. curiousity will kill the cat lol i know youre gonna try it regardless of what anyone says

The answer would be a constant variable dependent on the contributions of the parent plants.

If it wasnt for growers like you we wouldnt have the multitude of strains available to us today. While I have no experience breeding and cannot give you valuable input I commend you for what you do :)
