Sounds like a clone of my growing situation, except I only flower six plants at a time. With that 600 and 8 plants you should be able to pull a pound per cycle ... maybe more if you keep the temps under control.I have 1 600w HPS, with 8 females (from clones) in FoxFarm Soil. My closet is 3'x5', I run my quantam at 75% with a fan. It gets up to 80 with 40%hum. amd I doing things right?,

Your fine, 80 isn't a problem. My grow room will top out at the high 80's in the summer with a slighlty lighter harvest.
If your room is 80 then check what it is under the light, it's usually abit hotter especially in such a tiny room.

Personally, I think my best yielding crops have been grown in temps 80-85 But, different strains will give you different results.
