Doesn't sound like you have a good selection of stores around you. Try finding some type of organic nutrient that contains much more than just N-P-K.
do you have any recomendations? even if it's just a product i can base my research in products to purchase on?

PH 'corrected' tap water, wut about the 'corrected' part are u misunderstanding. that means that it has been brought back into an acceptable level, by the OP with either ph down or up.....how hard is that to interpret and slow down and read ?fucking idiot
pH corrected tap water? Are you kidding me? My tap water and that of many others is soooo high that it will kill my seedlings. You have no idea as to what's in this person's tap water. It's always best to start with distilled or RO water and only use that. It's another story if you have your city's water report and you're an expert grower, but that's another level.

I agree with Smokey9 that they shouldn't yellow that fast. It seems that a lot of people have these rules about when you should start giving nutes, but in reality it always depends on what you're growing in. I grow in a coco/perlite mix, which has zero nutes, and I start to see deficiencies like yours only 7 days after the seed sprouts (if I don't add nutes). And this leads me to my question-what brand of soil are you using?

Also, what type of pH tester do you have (a meter hopefully) and what are you keeping the pH at?

Over watered jsut like i said...
How often are you watering? It doesn't look like a deficiency to me, and shouldn't if its in soil. In soil grows you don't need to give ANY fertilizer for a little while. 3 weeks or so depending on volume. I doubt any amount of micro nutes are going to do anything to help the situation, if anything you will end up burning the plants with too much fert. That bottom leaf is called a petiole and it can fall off anytime after a real leaf has grown, do not worry about that little petiole leaf, its supposed to brown, crisp and fall off.

IMO its overwatered, but without knowing your schedule its hard to definitively say.

Didn't know over watering cause deficiencies. Damn, I must have no fucking clue what I'm talking about.

Let me do a little research on products you may be able to find at home depot and I'll get back to you.

lol... You might want to read a little more closely yourself, before you try and dis someone.

I have a few questions for you:
1). Why would I advise getting your city's water report if all I was talking about was a simple matter of pH?
2). Why would I advise getting Distilled or RO water if it was a simple matter of pH?
3). Why would I say that "you have no idea as to what's in this person's tap water" if it was a simple matter of pH?
4). Why would I say that the tap water of many growers is too high, and will kill plants?

Are you starting to get a clue yet? Probably not, so I'll just spell it out for you... and make sure to read slowly ;-)

I'm not even talking about pH. I'm talking about ppm (parts per million)... on second thought, I should probably put it in terms of E.C. (electrical conductivity), because when using ppm you need to use conversion factors to get it back to E.C. and that's probably too difficult for you.

There are a lot of minerals in tap water. My water has an E.C. of 0.9 (ppm 450....conversion factor of 500), and that is wayyyy too high.

That's why simply adjusting your pH isn't always good enough.

roger that... that's another item added to the shopping list... :D ppm tester...

Anyone have any more to add on this? I've got the exact same symptoms and not sure what to do. using 0.08-0.12-0.08 (is that just 8-12-8?) time release fert soil mixed with quality potting soil that has no ferts 50/50. Mine keeps growing though, and the bottom leaves (1 set so far, but signs of yellowing on another set) of course the embriotic leaves are gone long ago when the stem pealed.

mine are at around 40 days. 600w MH, 50% humidity, 78-82F temp

How thats some high tap water!-def cause some problems especially once adding nuts!! For argument sack, when having un measurable trace elements in water and than add ratios of NPK and other secondary elements, u will create a inbalance some were done the line.. Def use the RO system and use Cal-mag product than!!!!!

Deliott, u are using an organic mix, its meaning NPK but not at the same measurment as a synthetic mix!!

has your symptoms only just occurred? i've put my original problems down to over watering... (thanks everyone) i'm even more careful now than i was before and the plants are doing great!

the bottom leaves where the yellowing occurred initially still remain yellow but all leaves above those are looking really healthy! :D

man... i've even set up a web cam so i can watch my babies grow without moving from this comp! :D:D

Yeah they look better. I transplanted them for the last time and it's got some fresh new soil. The tops have exploded on mine, almost doubled. Still those yellah leefs...
