Well this is my first grow and as you can see from the pics i have a yellowing of the leaves. Tomorow it will be the first day of week 6 flowering. They are in Batmix soil and under a 400w light. All the pistels are still nice and white and the little leaves around them are green. I have slowed up on the watering as advised and stopped with the nutes as i was told it was too much nutes. Any advise what i should do now to get them through to harvest? My PH is 6.4 and temp with light 26 and without 23. Please all advise very very welcome.:cry:IMG-20111023-00083.jpgIMG-20111023-00086.jpgIMG-20111023-00084.jpg

looks more like mag def to me .. but im also one eyed purple people eater so ..
yeah im wondering if adding calmag at this state is going to make much difference? As im really worrying if any more nutes will affect them. And i havnt flushed as worried this will be too much water?

you can flush but if you do you need to follow with some mild nutes or you will leave them even more def. I use cal mag in hydro.. and epsom salts in soil... you can also foliar feed the girls mag

Five weeks into flower, yellow leaves. Is the light HPS? That is the tradeoff for larger bud growth.
Otherwise ?

Hi Chuckles,
Id go with alotaballs ahem...diagnosis,i know the plants are fine, the new growth and bud development little slow, but otherwise fine. The plant had some temperature changes through early flowering so maybe this isnt helping the look, but there cool.Spraying the leaves with a light Magnesium spray,or a calcium/magnesium one wouldnt harm at all,but only half dose. The Ladies have got a full 3 weeks to fatten and pistils change, increase size potency etc....water well, not to often,no more nutes to the soil cos shes defo had enough nitrogen, and your ph shouldnt put a block on it,,if ph is out,has a habit of restricting nutrient intake, different nutrients with different wrong ph readings, yours is fine Chuckles....just water well, not too often.....Could add a little more Phosphorus P,,,but quarter dose, see how she reacts...I reckon...B...

So does this mean i have to go out and buy some P? as i dont have any of it on its own. also the plants soil are dying out at different times, one or 2 are dryer then the rest seems to be the one that is under the fan more so i have been moving them round each time i water.

There was P..... ahem.....in one of your last feeds, its in batmix soil so i guess this is higher phoshorous/nitrogen than normal.Have a look at you nutes and see if they had phosphorus P in em .If they did dont bother....its prob best to leave them another day or two,Nitrogen nute burn can look yellow and burnt,,best stick with the water well system, less often. If some plant are dryng quicker than others and there the same age the thirsty plant may simply have a better root system, needs more water because of plant size.Keep an eye on the soil,if its dry a couple of inches down from the top soil then give em a drink..Try to give em a drink every 4-5 days or whenever they dry out a cupla inches ..too much water is as bad as not enough...Moving them around is fine, every few days maybe, but not essential!!!....B...

Mate your plants are fine..When a low- nitrogen nute or super bloom is used with more phosphorus and potassium fan leaves will start to go yellow.. this can happen 2-3 weeks into the flowering stage.. For best results just ease back a little on the nutes. Is every plant growing the same strain ? Some strains suffer more than others from this. I have 4 snow whites growing now that have 30-40% yellow fan leaves, where the other 4 strains 3 bag seed and 1 Papaya have all green healthy looking leaves..

Everything will be ok just pull the nutes back a bit.

Hope this helps.

Sorry I should of been more complete in my answer ... I was pretty baked when I answered... imo it is mag .. but like most have said .. I wouldnt mess with it ... Your pretty far along and dont need to create more problems.. your harvest will be just fine if you keep doing what your doing... There will always be room to improve.. but some of that yellowing is pretty normal at this stage

btw .. if you do decide to spray .. make sure you do it after lights off .. or before lights on .. they need to be dry when the lights hit the girls.. and make sure to have a fan blowing on and around the girls... adding moisture during budding can be a big problem if you dont have air movement

I tend to too much detail, I'll try to keep it down.
5000 watt growroom, 10 x 400 watts overhead, MH, CMH, HPS across the budroom. The plants all get the same nutes and light cycle, only difference is which end of the budroom, HPS end or MH end, CMH is in the middle.
The leaves yellow up on the HPS end three to one over the MH end. This is a consistant occurance, nute cycle and light cycle are identical. I did a little work in the test room on this, balancing the blue level helped somewhat. But this is such a minor problem I went to other things. Fan leaves on a mature plant apparently have little effect on yield, yellow or green, the bud grows the same.

I don't do nute work, but indica yellowing under HPS is as normal as it gets in my budroom.
