Hey Man,
If I were you, being a first timer, you should start out with bagseed, then once you have some experience underyour belt-- buy some good seeds from Nirvana or something...
I'm not trying to offend, its just my opinion, that if its your first grow, your way more likely to make mistakes, and you don't want to spend money on good seeds that you have a high likely hood of accidently messin up. Once again I mean no offense, we all learn from trial and error mostly, just trying to save you some cash and heart ache

Using bagseed for a first grow, or any early number of grows is not the best of advice. Herb grown to be smoked that has seeds does not mean the herb was grown/flowered until the seeds were fully mature. Immature seeds can have problems ranging from no germination at all to low germination to slow non-vigorous growth and other problems farther down the line. Because of the myriad number of problems that may occur by attempting to use bagseed can cause a new grower to wrongly assume any or all of the problems were their fault when the fault would be that of the bagseed. That alters the learning curve.
　
Something else to consider is even if you do happen to get a viable bean or beans from a bag of herb there is a distinct possibility that you will not actually know what you are growing. Many independent pharmaceutical agents will misrepresent their product for the sake of improving their sales and impressing their clientele. In other cases they may not have the slightest idea of what they are actually selling because unless they grew it themselves the person they purchased it from may have lied to them or may also have not known what it is/was.
Even if they know it is say, White Widow or Blueberry whose White Widow or Blueberry is it? Which breeders line did it come from? Differing strains that share the same name can have fairly different flowering times and nutrients needs and their height may vary considerably so it will be a guessing game as to what they will be facing and what is actually needed and since a new grower faces enough problems and guesses adding to them is not something that is really preferable.
　
It is a far better option to pick a reasonably priced, or low priced, strain from a professional breeder. You know what you purchased, you know information about it right from the start and if more information is needed you know what to ask and you are far more likely to find/receive accurate information.
　
I have read where people will say, hey .. go with bagseed, its free. Well you have to pay for the bag of herb in the first place, dont you? Does that mean the seeds in it were actually free? If you pay as much or more for a bag of seedy herb as you would for beans from a professional breeder which is the better value?
　
Another factor is with bagseed you are working with regular beans, not feminized. Many new growers have smaller sized grow areas and somewhat lesser setups to work with and they do not have the room to grow out a multitude of regular beans in hopes of ending up with enough females to make their final results worth the costs, efforts and risks they take.
　
Just to pick a very reasonably priced strain out of thin air someone can go to say Attitude Seeds and purchase a pack of 5 feminized beans, say The Church, for $34.01 (U.S.D.) plus shipping. Is it likely that the bag someone purchases to get bagseed from, or has already purchased, will or did cost them more than $34.01 plus shipping?
　
To use another Green House offering for an example, if someone is not sure what strain they would like to grow for $42.52 (USD) plus shipping a number of different mixed bean packs can be purchased. Green House Seeds offers, if my memory serves me correctly, 10 different packs of five mixed feminized beans so a new grower will not only know what they are growing and be able to easily find any and all needed information on what they are growing but they will also have a variety of product at the end to enjoy giving them a better chance of finding a strain or strains they would like to grow again rather than buying a pack of one single strain and then having to try four more packs of beans to then be able to have sampled as many different strains.
　
I am not a major lover of Green House Seeds but I will say that much of their line is a very good value for the dollar, especially for the new grower or the grower on a tighter budget. It is not all top-notch but it sure beats the pants off the seedy Roadside Red that many people are only able to buy and from where their bagseed would come from.
　
If for some reason someone wants to grow out regular beans there are any number of strains from professional breeders whose pricing begins as low as roughly $20.00 plus shipping. Did the bag of herb that was purchased or will be purchased for seeds that are definitely dubious in nature going to cost less than that?
　
There are very many totally valid reasons to pick a professional breeders gear for a first grow but there are few if any valid reasons to pick bagseed for a first grow.
As for picking any Nirvana strain, I have grown for almost four decades now, 37 years. I have been buying beans online almost since the first day they became available online. I have been a member of many herb growing sites and I have never seen any breeder/seedbank have more complaints than Nirvana other possibly than Marc Emery, and since he has been out of the loop for years I feel it is safe to say that Nirvana has passed him in number of complaints.
　
The problem with Nirvana is they have people growing/making their beans for them so there is little to no quality control.
One batch from one grower might very well be good but the next batch of the same strain from another grower might be worthless.
The question has also been raised in the past if the growers who make beans for Nirvana are honest in that if they are growing say two or three varieties and one of them is higher dollar and would bring them more money for those beans if by chance some of the lower priced beans just by chance happen to get mixed in with the higher priced beans increasing their numbers and therefore increasing the mount of money the growers collect for the beans.
　
Over the years I have read, heard and been told numerous times of people who complained to Nirvana about never receiving their order and there never being any record of shipment or of horrible germ rates and of terrible growth and of plants that obviously did not appear to be what was ordered once they had been grown out and in some cases Nirvanas reply was basically stop complaining, we know where you live and we will rat you out to your local authorities.
　
Nirvana is one of several breeders who I would never under any circumstances ever spend so much as a thin dime on any of their products.
As I said because of how they get their beans some turn out to be good and that means there are some very satisfied customers who tend to defend Nirvana like a lioness defends her cubs.
But over the years and on many herb sites I have seen untold numbers of complaints and horror stories and threats by Nirvana having been made and the result is I would not trust Nirvana any farther than I could comfortably spit out a rat.
　
But everyone has to make up their own minds and do what they feel is best for them and I only shared a small glimpse of the years worth of various complaints and problems and threats that people have experienced when dealing with Nirvana.

Does that code really work for you? I have typed it in for each order I have placed with Attitude and never once have I received the claimed discount. I always get some message saying invalid code or something like that.
I still have a very high regard for Attitude and do normally go to them first when bean shopping but until the 420 code actually works for me I have to question how many people it actually works for and how often it works for them.

It works. Type in 420 then hit add button. Shows right then what the discount was.
