I had to look it up, as I have never seen that word before....a good one to remember
epicene:
- having both male and female characteristics
- of neither male nor female gender
- lacking vigor and strength
- describes a male having typically female characteristics
- a person of indeterminate gender
- grammar: a noun with the same grammatical form for both masculine and feminine in languages where nouns have genders

just going to have to wait a bit longer, but that is a good sign normally you can spot male preflowers in 3-5 days after the flip
or during veg if you veg them for 5 weeks or so
if you did not veg them until they are mature 4-5 weeks or so (1.5 to 2ft tall) it can take 2-3 weeks for pistils to be clearly visible

okay i vegged for 45 days but there was no signs of preflowers before i switched to 12/12 so i don't know if it still needed some extra veg time . sounds good to me as long as it is not showing signs of being a male then i can wait it out . again thanks for the help
