HELP WITH MAC OS X Version 10.6

Need some help got a mac for free its an old one.
it has an administrator password.
does anyone know if this can be reset or wipe the computer
i cant install any programs as i dont know the password

am i better putting it in the bin or what lol

If you have the original installation disc, try this

If you don't have the installation disc, try this, but keep in mind you'll lose all files since it creates a new user.
