Help with lighting

1st time grower here , thinking ov buying a 250 w hps but maybe should go 4 the 400 w
is there any diffrence in heat ? is the 400 any hotter ? only planning on 2-4 plants max but would a 250 w grow 4 plants ? any help would b apreciated . thanks !!!

first off thares a spot for these kinda questions. in hid the higher the watts the hoter the temp radation. youd be better off with useing the 400 watt. but the 250w would grow but youd need to have some side lighting and you can say what the out come would be. good luck
