Help with light requirements

Hi,
I have a shed that has a couple of opaque panels to let natural light in.
I downloaded a lux meter app for my phone and tested it in the sun, it came out over 100,000 lux, so it seems to be ok for my discussion hear.
Now under the opaque panels for a height underneath of around 50cm I got a reading of between 21-23,000 lux in that space. Also the panel is a bit dirty and when cleaned I'm thinking it might give me around 26-28,000 lux and maybe even more height to play with.
Now heat wise I have no problems I should add.
Is this worth experimenting with?
Am I getting enough light for something decent, I think I could really be onto something here.
Any advise, discussion, help, is greatly appreciated.

Does the lux reading change much as you drop closer to the ground?
Just as a guess, I'd assume you're getting approx. 25% of full sun intensity through the panels but if the readings fall off much through the canopy it's probably too much.

Yes, but I can just build a shelf, I have at least 50cm of room where I'm getting the 21-23,000 lux to grow with.
As long as the pots are under this spot I will have around 80cm, possibly a full 100cm after I clean the panel, and a higher lux in the 'zone'.

Sounds like you want to experiment. I say go for it! Btw opaque means no light can penetrate, translucent means light can pass through but you cannot see through.
Also, we'd love to see pictures.
