I'm working on my 2nd grow right now, and based on some things that went wrong during my 1st grow I'm trying to prevent nutrition issues this time around.
My grow is indoors, in soil. So far everything is going great, and I will be switching the lights/schedule to flowering cycle in 1 week. I have a few questions about what I should be doing in flowering, so I'm hoping some of the more experienced growers out there can help out.
1) How soon after switching the lights & schedule should I start feeding with flowering nutes? Is it okay to start with a diluted mix right away, or should I wait a week or so? Note that no nutes have been used at all during veg, due to a relatively short veg cycle.
2) The flowering nutes I have are made up of the following nutrients:
Nitrogen - 15%
Nitrate - 5.6%
Ammonia - 9.4%
Water soluble phosphorus - 30%
Water soluble potassium - 15%
Boron - 0.01%
Copper - 0.002%
Iron - 0.02%
Manganese - 0.01%
Molybdenum - 0.001%
Zinc - 0.003%
Is this a good mix for flowering?
3) The nutes are in powder/crystal form, which I need to mix with the water. I'm having a tough time figuring out how many grams of the stuff to mix in with how much water though... The instructions on the package say the following (note, I'm in Europe, hence the grams, meters and liters):
Soil Nutrition: 200-400 grams per 100 square meters
Foliar Feeding: 30-50 grams per 10 liters of water
I was planning to feed through soil, but it seems impossible to convert the 200-400 grams per 100 sq. meters into something for my 5 liter containers. I was hoping that based on the mix above, someone might be able to help me figure out how much of this stuff to dissolve in water to feed them.
I realize this is a long post, so thanks in advance to those who read through and offer me some help.
