Help with FECO dose

I purchased THESE CAPSULS previously and they get really soggy and as soon as you put in your mouth they deuterate before swallowing. Now this is after the FECO has sat in the pill for a day or two at room temp. I put .5ml in and they are crazy good but I think they are not the correct ones for FECO?
That's weird. Basically the same as the '00' caps I got and should hold up until swallowed unless there is some water in the filler. Any oil-based mix won't cause the caps to soften up or fall apart. Vegetarian caps will fall apart with oils but your are like mine and made from cow hooves etc so should be fine.

If you have any alcohol left in your filler that would do it tho. Would need to cook ALL the alcohol out then maybe add a bit of MCT or other veg oil to dilute it for use.

I got my moulds from a company called PJBold . com in the states but they are 192 cavities 4ml each and have CBD on one and the Canadian logo for THC on the other. $40US each so cost me $150Can by the time i got them but I tend to go all out when doing stuff like this so plain ones just wouldn't do. They have lots of different pot and non-pot related ones there too. Pot leaf cookie press looks pretty cool and not much money.

I put the mould on a grate over a cookie sheet with water on a dual burner hot plate so the mould stays hot while I fill it. Chocolate, (Belgian), this time but now my 3x2kg bags of Jell-O have come in from amazon so as soon as I make some pot oils I can make some gummies. Takes 768ml to fill all the holes on one sheet.

Damned if I'm screwing around with a squeeze bottle to fill each one separately ! :) Enough left over to do 30 more once I got rid of the first ones. That will make my individual doses less so I kept notes to mix any next batches smaller. I think the scraper takes a bit out of each so they aren't the full 4ml.

They got froze a bit and I later found out that it can make the chocolates white from fat separation but doesn't hurt them. They went more white after a bit

@OldMedUser I want to make an Ms Access database that would figure out dosage and amount of fluids needed to fill molds etc. Also the database would save dosages and calculations for future mixtures that you've already done.

That's bloom from the chocolate being out of temper. It doesn't change the flavor. For milk chocolate don't heat it over 91 degrees and you won't get that bloom, not that it really matters.

I just keep written notes and a lot of it in my head too. Once I know the true values for the oils I make it will easy enough to calculate the actual dosage in each piece.

I never did learn to use spreadsheets so it's something new I should get into as it could be useful. Not MS tho. Open Office has a spreadsheet compatible with MS and others. At least they used to so I'll have to so I better have a look and see if there's a version for my Win10 machine. Need some basic recording and ripping software for turning all my old vinyl records into MP3s and a basic video editing tool would be good too.

Can't remember the last time I actually paid for software. :)

Somebody else mentioned that in another thread. I'm melting the chocolate in a double boiler so it probably gets over 91C but could heat it less. Next batch will be gummies made with lots of Jell-O. I got a recipe that uses 500g of it plus some plain gelatin etc so hoping it's enough to make 768ml but may do a dry run with no cannabis in it to see how it works out. I've got 6kg of Jell-O now. :)

You are the Jello King!

I've upped my game so I can provide reliable pain relief without the occasional space shot or questioning if I ate an edible. I got a Tcheck so I've been checking the actual potency of my extracts and it's allowed me to dial in my edibles. It's reduced my dislike of edibles and made the hub's use much easier and he really benefits from them. So consistency, in dose, makes them easier to take.

I won't be using oils or ethanol to extract my cannabis oils so a Tcheck isn't going to work for me. I plan to turn all the pot I have into a big batch of oil then sent a sample off to the lab for testing. $60 a pop so not too bad and it should be dead on as it's a certified lab for testing pot. The Tcheck is ±15% which isn't huge but still quite a spread and could be a lot more depending on who's doing the testing.

If I were just using the pot for myself I'd stick to the try it and see method but I'm sharing with a few friends so would like to be able to give them info about how much they are taking. I really want to know for my own self as well. :)

Actually its' accuracy is better although not something you'd get from a professional lab. I don't need a breakdown of all the cannabinoids either. I just need to be in the ballpark. I grow so many different plants this gives me an excellent idea of where I'm at. If you need that kind of accuracy though a lab is the only way to get it. So far I'm very happy with my Tcheck and Levo. It's made something I dislike doing easier, but yeah I get what you're saying.

I love my tcheck and Levo 2 as well, im happy with the results. I have make a lot of Green Dragon in my levo and I have had best results doing a medium to fine grind on 28g deboxylating two pods at a time which is only 2x then infusing for 8-10hrs @ 160° by just throwing my magnet in and dumping the flower in (no filters or pods) with around 1.5 - max 151 Everclear in the bowl. I find if i just chopped up my flower and the boxillated and did it the same procedure then the end result is less potent. I just filter my mixture through a 73 micron bag. I usually get 10+ to 12mg/ml THC in an end result on the tCheck.
