help with closet for vegging

i know you guys can help me out here. im planning on making a 2x2x6 closet in a vegging area. im thinking of a 250w mh/hps set up. any thoughts or insights on what type of venting i should do, etc. i want to veg in the winter for a month or more,if needed, and flower outdoors during the spring time, while keeping clones and throwing them outdoors as well around the end of may so i can have trees around harvest time. also, how many plants could fit comfortably veg in there?

1 hps light would work good, I use a closet for veg also, and I use a digital 600w hps that's adjustable to 50% 75% or 100%. I would only use air cooled hoods even if it is just one 400 or 600, espically if u are where it is hot like me- in Ca central valley. Use 1 blower and run the duct out of the room somehow. My closet, like many others has an opening to attic and I run the ducting into there to blow out hot exhaust
A nother good option is a 4' T5 flouro light, you can get it with 2 or 4 bulbs.
It is perfect for clones, great for veg, puts out almost no heat, but will not be good for flowering. You could also fit 2 hps in that closet also it seems like by the dimensions.
Just be sur to blow a fan in there to move air & strengthen plants
Hope this helps, like I said I do my closet like that and I love my mini veg room

If you are only going to veg use the t5 flouro
You can get it for like $100 on eBay
Hang it from your clothes hanger wood rod and it will fit perfect in that room, no exhaust or coolng fans needed but keep a fan on the plants

thanks. I'm only vegging in this closet. T5 flouros will not put out a lot heat therefore I need NO ventilation what so ever? Will this out perform a 250 MH set up for vegging?

They say 1sq ft per plant, I would do 4 at the most in a 2x2. Honestly thats about the size of mine and I plan on doing 2 monsters at a time when I get the proper lighting. 250hps will get the job done!

T5 will need some sort of air movement around the bulbs. Even if it is just an oscillating fan. T5's do put out some heat not as much as a 250HPS (and on that note... You will want to use a Metal Halide for veg.)

And, just to make things even more confusing for you... I veg all plants (even tomatoes) under T8 floros, never have had a single issue. T8s are way cheaper then T5s as well.

Yup
T8 are sold at hardware store, home depots, etc. They are also over your head almost everywhere you go. I would recommend buying grow bulbs for them in red & blue spectrum.
T5 are harder to find but are made for growing, for the most part
Go with the T5 like I said. if you get a 4' light, in 2 or 4 bulb I think you would be better off than a 250 h.i.d light
No fans are needed with the flouro lights, but a fan is always a must with your plants anyways.
But since you are only vegging, espically since it is a small space go with the flouro light. It is just better, your plants will veg almost as quick too

T5's will penetrate better, look for fixtures with individual reflectors for each bulb, and as many packed in as you have width and budget for.
