While i was transplanting my germinated seed the seed fell off the white seedling. will it still gro i have it covered under 1/4 inch soil. no light on
As long as the cotyledon (first round leaves) werent damaged, you should be fine. Those are the first part of the plant to break the surface and begin photosynthesis, so without them it wont grow.
Good luck!
I would. It might live, who's to say... A month ago, I'd have said you were toast, but after what I've put a plant through and its still alive, I believe these little seeds are really magic beans.
I don't put mine under the light til they are a plant above soil...I actually germinate my seeds in jiffy pots on the warmer plate on the stove set to low...instant seed starter mat...lol.
The only reason to have the light on before the plants pop the soil is for heat. If the area you have them is warm enough or you have a warming tray then you don't need any light until it comes out of the soil.
Yo so what happen the shell fell off it sounds like? Ya you just plant in da cup or pot cover the top of the cup with clear plastic and a rubber band till the seed pop up or the shell falls off. You don't have to have the light on but I have the flo's on 2" above the plastic so it'll warm the cup and the seed knows what way to grow up towards the heat and light! Duh!
