Help. Which light to buy?

Spend $80 on a Sunsystem 150W HPS... Hell, buy 2 for $160 and you are good to go!

Trust me I spent $125 on LEDs before switching to two of the 150w HPS. The LEDs are actually hotter than the HPS, believe it or not. Plus the HPS produces much larger buds.

@hothrebel go with a 315 cmh, it has a great coverage for a 3x3 text. Been using one for a while to cover that size area and its great.

I actually received purchased more from cultilux and I got them for a steal, by emailing the ig rep,and they are working out great. 3 year fixture warranty and 1 year bulb. Landed, each fixture with two bulbs (3000k + 4000k, was about $230). And they are still shipping so that's nice.

I'm going to be trying both side by side in flower from clone, but I really think I like the 4000k bulb better. But it could have been the strain/pheno.

I won’t argue that HPS works great but a $125 LED light isn’t going to be suitable for anything but a really small tent. If the one you had ran hotter then HPS then it was a garbage LED light. I can hold my hand on the heat sync of my small quantum board after it’s been running all day.

Yeah, it was 2 300w LEDs (246 actual watts). They were like $65 a piece, Bloomspect brand on amazon.

I was able to harvest up to 2oz per auto, but nothing was ever very dense. My most recent harvest had the HPS for half its life and is twice as dense as anything the LEDs produced alone.
