~~~~~~HELP~~~~~~~~~~~~What kind of soil can I use to germ. my auto's in ....

I got my seeds but need to know what kind of soil to put them in since I dont want to paper towel it .... I plan to use 16oz cups till there a certain hieght then transfer them into a 3gal bag with Kellogg's outdoor patio plus

something organic with no ferts in it

Ok , Like what though ... i have a home depot , lowes and walmart by me so what would you recommend.

I went to home depot and all they have organic scotts soil and organic humus ..........

At my home depot they have a smaller bag of "seed starter". Come in a resealable bag.
but it has no nutes at all. I think i threw it away awhile back, ill look when i get home, but i think its what ur talking about

i used mg organic it said .05% slowly available [N] it worked good for me no one really likes mg tho

I see lots and lots use jiffy seed starter. They are sold at lowe's and comes with a mini greenhouse for starting seeds. I am very skeptical about how to germinate also, just like you. Have failed a few times but the Jiffy is great. Get it man, it's cheap and sold at lowe's and works!

IMO best way to germinate is just drop the seed in a glass of distilled water. You can check on it whenever u like without disturbing it. And i just started growing about 2 years ago, but so far i have 100% success rate on this method

I say super soil brown bag.... they sell it at all the places you mentioned and it cheap....

Thats funny cause , thats what I ended up buying .... I bought 2 since there 72 pellets in each greenhouse . I ended up tossing in 113 seeds So ill find out how many germ. withint the next 20hrs

That seems like a long time for germination to me

ok works for me man

I soak seeds for 24hrs then plant directly into the same medium you intend to use if your final pot (I use Canna professional or Canna Bio Terra if im going organic). Starting in seedling pots then transplanting seems to make autos shorter and bushier, not altogether a bad thing in my opinion. You can use Coco if you really dont want any nutes at the start.

What autos have you got? Im on Buddha Red Dwarf and Lowryder #2, Red Drawrfs by far the more impressive.

2 parts perlite to one part peatmoss works for propagating everything even cuttings.
