I have bud curing and I forgot to burp the jars yesterday, so I went to burp them today and I got mold! :( there's not a whole bunch, about half of the bud is moldy.. so what can I do? Can I smoke it? Or make hash?

Cut the bad moldy bits out, and fast dry it. use fans and air heaters to stop the spread of the mold, this is what its doing(spreading) even after harvest.

I already split the moldy bits from the unmoldy bits. And I have the un moldy bud sitting out in the open on a paper towel with 1 paper towel over them until tomorrow when the newspaper comes..

But what can I do with the moldy bud? I was thinking hash but would I be able to smoke that?

Dude don't smoke or ingest mold in any way. Chalk it up to experience and smoke what you got. I agree with BUDS about quick drying the remaining buds.

Well, I only had two jars and they both got mold in them, about half each so wouldn't that mean the whole jar is contaminated?

And wouldn't you kill the mold for hash?

lol yea i smoked moldy bud before when i was a kid and i didnt die, or even get sick. but it tasted like shit i can still remember that nasty taste. but still got us ripped lol

as much as it pains me to say, i would probably not smoke even the non mouldy bud, maybe make that into eddibles. there will still be microscopic mould spores in the bud which looks 'fine'. these are really damaging to the lungs and can ultimately cause all sorts of serious and chronic respiritory problems. do not smoke them. making eddibles will not erradicate the spores either, however they are less damaging to ingest, although still not good and will likely cause stomach ache at best (the spores are like little virtually indistructable spiky hooked balls which irritate any tissue they come into contact with in the body)

throw the very mouldy bud away....

just something to think about before deciding what to do ;)

wait till they are dried and the stem snaps , they rot and mold if you seal them even in a bag , too early, over a day or 2. it was still drying, not dry yet when you started curing. dry a week or 2 then curing.

Thank you all for caring so much about my health :) lol

I do know that mold is bad but,
I thought if I were to kill the mold and make hash it wouldn't harm me?
Or am I wrong?

Could I wash them then make hash? And what if the buds are all dried?

when I lived in the NW my cousin would always get atleast 1 plant moldy either before or after harvest and would give it to me.. if you can, dry the buds, wash, then dry again, and put in jars. You can still get a small cure out of it
